Note: 1) *Balance fees will be refunded to SC/ST/PwD students after the receipt of funds from JoSAA-2016.

2) Relaxation in Tuition Fees will be given to the eligible candidates subject to the production of valid
Income Certificate issued on or after April 1, 2016 by the competent authority during admission. Those
who are unable to produce valid Income Certificate during admission should pay the balance Institute’s
fee as per Serial No. 1 of the above table . This Certificate is to be submitted to the Academic Section
on or before 15th September, 2016 to avail the Tuition Fee exemption. .

b) Mess advance and other fee (for Hostellers) (at Hostel office): Rs. 17,900/- (For all students including
SC/ST/PwD)

c) Mode of Payment (i) Institute fee: DD in favour of “Director, NITK Surathkal”, payable at Mangalore.
(ii) Mess advance & other fee (Rs.17, 900/-): DD in favour of “Professor-in-Charge,
Hostel Affairs, NITKS Hostels”, payable at Mangalore.

Note: Online payment facility (through SBI Portal) will also be made available for those
who prefer to make the payment online (For Institute Fee). (Instead of paying through DD).

 4 Marks Card of the qualifying examination.
5 Character & Study Certificate from the Institution last attended.
6 Certificate of Category (SC/ST/OB-NCL) issued by the competent
authority in the Prescribed format
7. X Class marks card for Date of Birth. .
8. Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) (if applicable).
9. Transfer/Leaving Certificate issued by the college /Institute last attended by
the candidate. (If not available it should be produced with-in a month)
10. Migration Certificate for candidates from other Boards( other than
Karnataka Pre University) ( If not available to be produced with-in a month)
11. Medical fitness certificate.
12. Passport Size Photographs. 2No.s

(If any certificate is in language other than Hindi or English or Kannada, true
copy of the same in English is to be produced.
NOTE: Candidates are instructed to keep with them sufficient number of
copies of the original certificates submitted.

8 Banking Facility SBI and Canara Bank Branches with ATM facility are available on
Campus. All students must compulsorily open SB account in either of
above two branches after admission and inform the academic section of
their SB account numbers.

9 Hostel Facility Hostel facilities are available for all the students. Hostel
accommodation will be available to the admitted students from the day
of completing the admission formalities

10 How to Reach NITK All Service/Express Buses starting from Mangalore Bus Stand and
going towards Udupi, stop at NITK Main Building. A number of Private
Taxis also available at Mangalore. NITK is 21 Kms. from Mangalore on
the northern side along National Highway No.66.

11 Mangalore Airport & Mangalore Airport is just 20 KM. from the campus and there are flights
nearest Railway station to Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore every day, with connections to rest
of the country. The nearest railway station is Surathkal (3 Km) on the
Konkan Railway Mangalore –Mumbai), is the nearest rail station and is
the stopover for most trains passing through Konkan Railway. While
Surathkal and Kankanady are closest alighting points for visitors coming
by train from North; Mangalore is the Terminus for many trains from
South India.
