INTRODUCTION

What is an Engineering?
An Engineer major is a disciplinary and logical area that focuses in
providing solutions to problems that exists in society by the usage of
theorical and practical reinforcements that will be fundamental in the
engineer to make the right decisions and he would do all the things that
are necessary to get a good result.

Branches of Engineering
 Hydrometeorological logic engineering.
 Telecommunications Engineering.
 Network and Communications engineering.
 Electronic Engineering in Computing.
 Naval Engineering.
 Marine Engineering.
 Engineering in Maintenance of Works.
 Geological Engineering.
 Petroleum Engineering.
 Geophysical Engineering.
 Mining Engineering.
 Construction Management Engineering.
 Industrial Production Engineering.
 Industrial Production Engineering.
System Engineering
Systems engineering (SE) is an interdisciplinary area whose focus is the
development of complex technological systems. Systems engineering
includes the design, development and maintenance of complex systems
with consideration to their software and hardware, their
interconnections and the environments in which they operate over the
course of their life cycle. SE integrates knowledge and methods from
multiple fields of science for the development and implementation of new
technologies, SE techniques are used in projects such as spacecraft design,
computer chip design, robotics, and software integration.

System Engineering Techniques, Tools, and

Procedures

I. Modeling and optimization

The most fundamental technique is the flow diagram, or flowchart, a
graphical display composed of boxes representing individual components
or subsystems of the complete system, plus arrows from box to box to
show how the subsystems interact. Though such a representation is very
useful in an initial study, it is, of course, essentially qualitative. A more
effective approach in the long run is construction of a so-called
mathematical model, which consists of a set of equations, or sometimes
simply of tables and curves, describing the interactions within the system
in quantitative terms. After the model has been constructed and checked,
a number of mathematical techniques can be employed to find out what it
says about the actual operation of the system. Often these calculations
will have a probabilistic or statistical result.
II. Identifying objectives
The formulation of suitable objectives for the final system is the most
important part of the systems engineering process. The principal reason
why a satisfactory statement of objectives may present such a problem is
simply that most systems have multiple objectives often in conflict with
each other. Especially difficult problems in defining objectives may arise
when an existing technology is transplanted to some new disciplinary
area.

III. User orientation

Systems engineering is likely to be strongly user-oriented. This results
naturally from the fact that systems objectives usually relate to overall
performance which is what the final user is interested in. The identity of
technical interest between the systems engineer and the final user is
usually marked, systems engineering is likely to give special
consideration to such qualities as reliability, ease of maintenance, and
convenience in operation. Moreover, the final step of a systems
engineering project is typically an evaluation that attempts to find out
how well the system works in the hands of the user.

Universities
International (Public)
I. Technology University of Panama: The Technological University of
Panama (UTP) is a state institution whose Central Campus is located in
the city of Panama, Republic of Panama.
Also known as "La Tecnológica", the UTP has a national presence in the
seven Regional Centers: The Bocas del Toro Regional Center, Chiriqui
Regional Center, Veraguas Regional Center, Azuero Regional Center, Coclé
Regional Center, Centro Regional de Colon, Regional Center of Panamá
West. It also has two University Extensions, one in Howard and the other
in Tocumen.
In terms of demand, it has increased from 5,735 students in 1981 to reach
21,443 in 2015. It has a teaching staff of 1,549 teachers, 32% full time and
1,852 administrative staff.
The UTP is a national leader in research in the engineering area; serves as
reference center and expertise in technology.

2.

Sound Engineering
Area that takes care of the sound in events and music groups modifying the
sound phenomenon in respective cases. Technologically, it has competences
in the production and manipulation of sound in all its fields of application.
