Materiales
The AP Spanish 4 class uses the textbook TEMAS, by
Vista Higher Learning, which is approved by The
College Board. It contains relevant and authentic
materials, and is heavily imbedded with technology.

The AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam


Preparation workbook follows along with the themes
designed throughout the textbook. It also has an
Internet accessible component for students.

Materials used within the AP Spanish 4 class contain


practice of interpretive, interpersonal and
presentational language skills formatted to follow the
AP test. Themes and context are organized around
driving questions. Cultural connections and on-line
communication tools are available.

AP SPANISH and the FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT provide enormous opportunities for students enrolled in the courses at the Academies of Jonesboro High
School. Students have been able to achieve scores on university placement tests that position them in upper level language courses. Some former students have
received college credit after completing the AP exams.

Students are encouraged to participate in the Foreign Language Club.

Pre-AP Spanish 3 and AP Spanish 4 students may be invited to participate in the Spanish Honor Society; Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, a nationally recognized
organization.

Students have the opportunity to attend teacher-led trips abroad to a variety of countries.
