Mn) (Rs. Mn)
Original design: 52.70 Same 52.70
Proposed change: 17.37 Same 17.37
Savings: 35.33

ADVANTAGES/ DISADVANTAGES/ JUSTIFICATION

Advantages:
Total life cycle savings of Rs.35.33 Mn.

Consistency of the floor.

Bare capacity of the structure improved.

Durability.

Fire resisting properties.

Tendency of hairline cracks.

Visual impact is not there.

Disadvantages:
None apparent.

Justification:
This recommendation recognizes that the lift lobby area visual effect is not impacted by the change of
this natural marble tile to porcelain tile. Rather than that, there is excess structural support requirement
due to the dead load of the natural marble and granite tiles. Due to use of porcelain tiles, that structural
load bearing capacity requirement minimized.
