The previously constructed wing structure did not have any ribs and the spar components where rusted and damaged. The material we have chosen for the Fabrication of ribs and spars is a GI sheet of 1.5mm thickness. The sheet is cut into strips of 6 ft length and 1 inch breadth. At first the spar components are welded to the structure using the arc welding process. After attaching the spars the rib components are welded over them. The finishing is furnished by using rough file and smooth file. Attachment of skin to the structure: After the fabrication of structural components to the wing the skin is riveted over the frame to give a definite structure and shear support to the frame. Fabrication of control surfaces: The control surfaces except rudder were not fabricated. Hence we had to fabricate the ailerons and the flaps and the elevator
