Introduction

Topic: Differences between socialism and communism

An economic system of a society is a structure through which the resources of an

economy are produced and managed, either through the intervention of the central
authority or by leaving the private selfishness of a society at liberty. Throughout the
history of mankind different economic systems have been developing, among which
is communism and socialism, which have been economic systems that have led a
country's society to undergo major changes in its form of government and
consequently there have even been revolutions within them. For example, the Cuban
Revolution occurred on April 16, 1961, which was the result of the struggle of the
Cuban people for their independence and sovereignty.

On the other hand, a political system determines the form of access to government
that can be related to the form of the State, within this system is the socialist political
system, which turns out to be a contradiction of the economic system, mainly
because of the control that society has about their workforce and their information
media.

In summary, it can be observed that the political and economic systems of a country
are represented in systems of government such as communism and socialism that
are very different since both have different ways of taking care of the interests of
their society, as is the case of communism, which defends a social organization in
which there is no private property or class difference, and in which the means of
production would be in the hands of the State, which would distribute the goods
equally and according to needs.

Meanwhile, socialism seeks to defend the property of the working class and the
means of production, in order to achieve a society in which there is political, social
and economic equality.
