CHIOCCIOLA - LA CASA DEL NOMADE

INTRODUCTION

Rural areas often offer less

opportunities for youth than their
urban equivalents. Nevertheless, we
can create opportunities for
ourselves.
We want to invite 30 youngsters (18
– 26) to an international meeting in
Pennabilli, a small village in Italy,
with the aim to create local
initiatives around culture, education
and social activism.
It will bring value both to their
towns and to the participants – you
will learn new skills and
competences which will help you to
find your place on the labor market.
OBJECTIVES OF
THE PROJECT

- to bring together 30
youngsters from rural areas and
empower them in their personal
development focusing on
entrepreneurial and
labor competences.

- to create 6 local projects to be

implemented after the youth
exchange in their rural
communities.

ABOUT US

"Chiocciola la casa del nomade" was founded in 2010. It matured from an interest
in  places and the complexities that underlie them. Artistic, educational and
historical-environmental researches twined together resulting in activities
related to the education and appreciation of nature and its territories.

We are using methods of non-formal education for learning about

landscape, agriculture, rural life, sustainability, healthy lifestyle, social farming,
urban planning, history, local and international culture and personal development.
