Dear Mr. Yentes:
As you suggested in our telephone conversation a few minutes ago,
1 am following it up with this letter.
Last night on Channel 5, the "Flash of Darkness" segment of
MEDIC was on the air and attached to the end is a short appear-
ance of Val Peterson, the former Administrator of Civil Defense.
Mr. Peterson is now the Ambassador to Denmark and has not
been connected with Civil Defense for several years. Leo A. Hoegh
is now the Director of the Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization.
I would like to suggest two solutions to this problem. First, we
could replace the Val Peterson segment with a current Leo A. Hoegh
Segment which we would be happy to film and provide prints for
you. The other is to simply remove the Val Peterson segments
from the prints you have in distribution,
I'm sure you recognize that having the Val Peterson segment, as it
is now, dates your film and makes it obsolete. We will be very
happy to cooperate with you in every way to help,
Wesojd. he Sincerely,
