A summertime soccer
event!
The Eastshore United Soccer team
hosts it’s annual King O’ The Balls tour-
nament at Crawford Bay’s excellent grass
pitch at Crawford Bay Park on Saturday,
August 25th and Sunday the 26th. This
event brings teams from both East and
West Kootenay to compete for the tro-
phy. Last year’s winner, Rossland will
be on the pitch again, against Creston,
Cranbrook, Slocan and the host team,
Eastshore United.
Start time on both days is 9 am and
the games are one hour, (no tackling the
90 minutes of the Major Soccer League’s
games). They continue through the day
until dusk. John Edwards is out every day
watering and caring for the grass which is
always fresh and clean. Grass sometimes
means muddy uniforms, but not here.
This is exciting football so its well worth
making the trip for the two full days.
Come out to boost for your town’s team!
