Search and Rescue the skill required to survive in a moun-
tain wilderness environment is a personal benefit to all of

As the group comes to the end of their training they will
build on the skills they have learned and ultimately spe-
cialize in a few disciplines that will assist the organization

2018 CFNKL Grants
The Community Fund of North Kootenay Lake Society
(CFNKLS) is calling for applications for its 2018 granting
cycle. CFNKLS has endowment funds totalling just over one
million dollars. The interest from those endowments allows
us to provide grants on an annual basis. A total of $44,000 is
available to Registered Charities and other qualified donees
in the North Kootenay Lake region. “Grant applications for
up to $4,000 will be considered. Special projects requiring
greater funding may also be considered, if funds permit,
but such applications should first should be discussed with
