2018 SPORTS AND CULTURAL DISTRICT MEET

Jundell: “Never let success get to your head. Never let failure get to your heart.” This is according to Ziad K. Abdelnour.

Kaymae: While according to Robert Alan, “Cultural differences should not separate us from each other, but rather
cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all of humanity.”

Jundell: I am Jundell C. Diaz.

Kaymae: And I am Kaymae P. Maitum.

K and J: Good Morning! We are your hosts for today’s event… SAN REMIGIO DISTRICT 1 SPORTS AND CULTURAL MEET
2018!

Jundell: With the theme “San Remigiohanons: Forging Potentials through Sports and Arts.”

Kaymae: To officially begin the program, we request everybody to stand for the Philippine National Anthem followed by
the Doxology, Sugbo Hymn and San Remigio Hymn by the San Remigio National High School Choir.

Jundell: The way you greet someone determines how he will welcome you. And now, to welcome us all, may I call in Mr.
Josephus Arellano, the Assistant Principal of San Remigio National High School. (Thank you!)

Kaymae: Before we move on to the next part of our program, let us first witness a dance sport presentation courtesy of
San Remigio National High School. Around of applause please. (Thank you!)

Jundell: Now to present our delegates for this event, we request the Principals/Representatives of different schools of
San Remigio District 1. Starting off with Argawanon Integrated School, Mrs. Jocelyn G. Dignos…

Kaymae: At this point, we will be hoisting our banners to represent and symbolize our unity for every delegation. To
start with, may we call in our representatives from the District, *********

Jundell: And now for the entrance of the torch of friendship, may we call in Jonathan Enero, a SRNHS athlete… The torch
represents the ability for each of us to serve as a guiding light for others and for the ability of education to serve as a
beacon of light.

[Torch…]

Kaymae: For the lighting of the Urn of Friendship, may I call in the Municipal Mayor of San Remigio, Cebu, Honorable
Mayor Mariano Martinez. The light of the torch as it touches the urn symbolizes life, truth and the regenerative power
of flame. It also represents the vision of education to provide enlightenment to the students.

Jundell: And now for the oath of amateurism, let’s welcome Bables Unah Cababan, SRNHS Chess player.

Kaymae: Now to conduct the Oath of Officiating Officials, let’s have on stage the San Remigio District I PESS Coordinator,
Mrs. Ediltrudes B. Escame.

Jundell: At this juncture, let’s hear a message coming from our Municipal Vice Mayor, Atty. Alfonso Pestolante.

Kaymae: And now let us witness an intermission number coming from AIS.

Jundell: Let us hear another message coming from our very own Mayor, Honorable Mariano Martinez.

Kaymae: To further brighten the mood for our upcoming sports events, let us witness the DLBC Palabas of SRNHS.

Jundell: And now to symbolize our unity, let us all stand for the Unity Wellness Dance to be led by AIS Selected Students
and teachers.

Kaymae: And now, ladies and gentlemen, the most awaited part of the program, the declaration of the Formal Opening
of the 2018 Sports and Cultural Meet. To do the honor, may I call in our esteemed Public School District Supervisor, Mr.
Oscar P. Pestano Jr.

Jundell: Before we leave for our respective events, allow us to leave some words to live by.
