 How to express wanting, necessity, ability and possibility (i.e. “I want to do X / I have
to do X / I can do X / May I do X?”)
 Related to the above, what happens to the subjunctive/mansoob form of the verb in
Libyan Arabic? What I mean is in MSA, to say "I want to go," you say ‫أريد أن أروح‬, but
in the dialects, there is usually a different approach. You can see the section "Verb
Tenses and Moods" of the “Guide to Arabic Dialects” for an explanation. Does
Libyan Arabic have something similar?

Personal pronouns

[Are the pronouns the same as in fusha or are there some differences?]

Pronoun suffixes (i.e. the endings used both after a noun to express possession, as well
as after a verb to form the direct object)

Demonstrative adjectives (this, that, these, those)

- Is there a construct possessive form in Chadian Arabic (similar to ‫بتاع‬in Egyptian
Arabic and ‫ديال‬in Moroccan Arabic).
Lexicon
