The Supplication of the Lame Man.
This supplication is also called “the supplication of the young man punished for his sins.” Being recorded in the books
of al-Kaf`am¢ and the book of Muhaj al-Da`aw¡t, this supplication has been taught by Imam `Al¢ Am¢r al-Mu'min¢n (`a)
to a young man who was paralyzed due to the wrongdoings and sins that he had committed against his father. After he
said this supplication, the young lame man slept and saw in dream that the Holy Prophet (¥) came to him and passed his
hand over his body saying, “Hold on to the Greatest Name (alism al-a`¨am) of Almighty Allah and your deeds will be
good.” When he woke up, he found himself healed from lameness.
The supplication is the following:
In the Name of Allah, the All- bismi all¡hi alrra¦m¡ni
beneficent, the All-merciful. alrra¦¢mi ‫ﻢ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮﺣِﻴ ﹺ‬
‫ﺣﻤٰ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ‬
‫ﺴﹺ‬ْ ‫ﹺﺑ‬
O Allah, verily I beseech You by Your all¡humma inn¢ as'aluka
Name: bismika ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺳ ِﻤ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ﹺﺑﭑ‬
َ ‫ﺳَٴﺎﹸﻟ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﹺﺇﻧﱢﻲ ﺍَٴ‬
‫ﹶﺍﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻬ ﱠ‬
In the Name of Allah, the All- bismi all¡hi alrra¦m¡ni

‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮﺣِﻴ ﹺ‬
‫ﺣﻤٰ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ‬
‫ﺴﹺ‬ْ ‫ﹺﺑ‬
O Lord of majesty and honor! y¡ dhaljal¡li wal-ikr¡mi ‫ﻹ ﹾﻛﺮَﺍ ﹺﻡ‬
ِ ‫ﻝ َﻭﭐ‬
‫ﺠﻼَ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
O Ever-living! O Self-subsistent! y¡ ¦ayyu y¡ qayy£mu ‫ﻲ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻗﻴﱡﻮ ُﻡ‬
‫ﺣ ﱡ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ‬
O Ever-Living! There is no god but
You! y¡ ¦ayyu l¡ il¡ha ill¡ anta ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﻻ ﺍَٴﻧ ﹶ‬
‫ﻲ ﻻَ ﹺﺇﻟٰ َﻪ ﹺﺇ ﱠ‬
‫ﺣ ﱡ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ‬
y¡ huwa y¡ man l¡ ya`lamu
O He Whom none knows what He is,
m¡ huwa ‫ﻢ ﻣَﺎ ُﻫ َﻮ‬
ُ ‫ﻦ ﻻَ َﻳ ْﻌ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻫ َﻮ ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
nor how He is, wa l¡ kayfa huwa ‫ﻒ ُﻫ َﻮ‬
َ ‫ﻻ ﹶﻛ ْﻴ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
nor where He is, wa l¡ ayna huwa ‫ﻦ ُﻫ َﻮ‬
َ ‫ﻻ ﺍَٴْﻳ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
nor in what respect He is, but He! wa l¡ ¦aythu huwa ill¡ huwa ‫ﻻ ُﻫ َﻮ‬
‫ﺚ ُﻫ َﻮ ﹺﺇ ﱠ‬
‫ﺣ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻻ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
O Possessor of dominion and
kingdom! y¡ dhalmulki walmalak£ti ‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﻚ َﻭﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ﹶﻠﻜﹸﻮ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹾﻠ‬
O Possessor of might and
invincibility! y¡ dhal`izzati waljabar£ti ‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﻟ ِﻌ ﱠﺰ ِﺓ َﻭﭐﹾﻟﺠَﺒﺮُﻭ‬
y¡ maliku y¡ qudd£su y¡
O King! O All-holy! O Giver of peace!
sal¡mu ‫ﺳﻼَ ُﻡ‬
َ ‫ﺱ ﻳَﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﹸﻗﺪﱡﻭ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ ِﻠ‬
O Granter of security! O All-
preserver! y¡ mu'minu y¡ muhayminu ‫ﻦ‬
ُ ‫ﻦ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ َﻬ ْﻴ ِﻤ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ْﺆ ِﻣ‬
O Almighty! O All-compeller! O All- y¡ `az¢zu y¡ jabb¡ru y¡
sublime! mutakabbiru ‫ﻜ ﱢﺒ ُﺮ‬
‫ﺟﺒﱠﺎ ُﺭ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻋﺰﹺﻳ ﹸﺰ ﻳَﺎ‬
y¡ kh¡liqu y¡b¡ri'u y¡
O Creator! O Maker! O Shaper!
mu¥awwiru ‫ﺼ ﱢﻮ ُﺭ‬
‫ﺉ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹶ‬
ُ ‫ﻖ ﻳَﺎ ﺑَﺎ ﹺﺭ‬
ُ ‫ﺧﺎِﻟ‬

O grantor of Benefits! O Director! y¡ muf¢du y¡ mudabbiru ‫ﺪﱢﺑ ُﺮ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣﻔِﻴ‬
O Severe (in punishing the
evildoers)! O Originator! y¡ shad¢du y¡ mubdi'u ‫ﺉ‬

ِ ‫ﺪ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ْﺒ‬
ُ ‫ﺷﺪِﻳ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶ‬
O Returner! O Destroyer! y¡ mu`¢du y¡mub¢du ‫ﺪ‬

O Far! O Nigh! y¡ ba`¢du y¡ qar¢bu ‫ﺐ‬

O Responder! O Watcher! O
Reckoner! y¡ muj¢bu y¡raq¢bu y¡ ¦as¢bu ‫ﺐ‬
ُ ‫ﺣﺴِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺐ ﻳَﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﺐ ﻳَﺎ َﺭﻗِﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣﺠﹺﻴ‬
O Innovator! O Exalter! y¡ bad¢`u y¡ raf¢`u ‫ﻊ‬
ُ ‫ﻊ ﻳَﺎ َﺭﻓِﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﺑﺪِﻳ‬
O Inaccessible! O All-hearing! y¡ man¢`u y¡ sam¢`u ‫ﻊ‬
ُ ‫ﺳﻤِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﻳَﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣﻨﹺﻴ‬
O All-knowing! O All-clement! O All-
generous! y¡ `al¢mu y¡ ¦al¢mu y¡ kar¢mu ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻛﺮﹺﻳ‬
ُ ‫ﺣﻠِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻋﻠِﻴ‬
O All-wise! O Eternal! y¡ ¦ak¢mu y¡ qad¢mu ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻗﺪِﻳ‬
ُ ‫ﺣﻜِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ‬
O All-high! O All-tremendous! y¡ `aliyyu y¡ `a¨¢mu ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻲ ﻳَﺎ َﻋﻈِﻴ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﻋ ِﻠ ﱡ‬
O All-commiserating! O All-
gracious! y¡ ¦ann¡nu y¡ mann¡nu ‫ﻥ‬
ُ ‫ﻥ ﻳَﺎ َﻣﻨﱠﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﺣﻨﱠﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ‬
O Condemner! O Recourse! y¡ dayy¡nu y¡ musta`¡nu ‫ﻥ‬
ُ ‫ﺴ ﹶﺘﻌَﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻥ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﺩﱠﻳﺎ‬
O All-majestic! O All-handsome! y¡ jal¢lu y¡ jam¢lu ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﺟﻤِﻴ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ‬
‫ﺟﻠِﻴ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ‬
O Guardian! O Surety! y¡ wak¢lu y¡ kaf¢lu ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻛﻔِﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﻭﻛِﻴ ﹸ‬
O Annuller! O Bestower! y¡ muq¢lu y¡ mun¢lu ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣﻨﹺﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣﻘِﻴ ﹸ‬
O All-noble! O Leader! y¡ nab¢lu y¡ dal¢lu ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ َﺩﻟِﻴ ﹸ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻧﺒﹺﻴ ﹸ‬
O Guide! O All-Apparent! y¡ h¡diyu y¡ b¡d¢ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻫَﺎﺩِﻱ ﻳَﺎ ﺑَﺎﺩِﻱ‬
O First! O Last! y¡ awwalu y¡ ¡khiru ‫ﺧ ُﺮ‬
ِ ‫ﻝ ﻳَﺎ ﺁ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﺍَٴ ﱠﻭ ﹸ‬
O Outward! O Inward! y¡ ¨¡hiru y¡ b¡§inu ‫ﻦ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻇﹶﺎ ِﻫ ُﺮ ﻳَﺎ ﺑَﺎ ِﻃ‬
O All-steadfast! O Everlasting! y¡ q¡'imu y¡ d¡'imu ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ ﺩَﺍِﺋ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻗﹶﺎِﺋ‬
O Knower! O Decider! y¡ `¡limu y¡ ¦¡kimu ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ ﺣَﺎ ِﻛ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻋَﺎِﻟ‬
O Judge! O Just! y¡ q¡¤iyu y¡ `¡dilu ‫ﻝ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﻗﹶﺎﺿِﻲ ﻳَﺎ ﻋَﺎ ِﺩ ﹸ‬
O Separator! O Joiner! y¡ f¡¥ilu y¡ w¡¥ilu ‫ﻞ‬

ِ ‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ‬

ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻓﹶﺎ‬

O All-great! O All-sublime! y¡ kab¢ru y¡ mutakabbiru ‫ﻜ ﱢﺒ ُﺮ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻛﺒﹺﻴ ُﺮ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹶﺘ ﹶ‬
O One! O Unique! O eternally
Besought of all! y¡ w¡¦idu y¡ a¦adu y¡ ¥amadu ‫ﺪ‬
ُ ‫ﺻ َﻤ‬
‫ﺪ ﻳَﺎ ﹶ‬
ُ‫ﺣ‬َ ‫ﺪ ﻳَﺎ ﺍَٴ‬
ُ‫ﺣ‬ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ‬
O He Who begets not and was not
begotten, y¡ man lam yalid wa lam y£lad ‫ﺪ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﻳُﻮﹶﻟ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ َﻭﹶﻟ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ َﻳ ِﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﹶﻟ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
wa lam yakun lah£ kufwan
equal to Whom is none,
a¦adun ‫ﺪ‬
ٌ‫ﺣ‬َ ‫ﻢ َﻳﻜﹸﻦ ﹶﻟ ُﻪ ﹸﻛﻔﹸﻮﹰﺍ ﺍَٴ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ‬
Who has no consort, wa lam yakun lah£ ¥¡¦ibatun ‫ﺣ َﺒ ﹰﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﻢ َﻳﻜﹸﻦ ﹶﻟ ُﻪ ﺻﹶﺎ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹶﻟ‬
with Him is no aide wa l¡ k¡na ma`ah£ waz¢run ‫ﻥ َﻣ َﻌ ُﻪ َﻭﺯﹺﻳ ٌﺮ‬
َ ‫ﻻ ﻛﹶﺎ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
wa l¡ ittakhadha ma`ah£
nor has He taken any adviser,
mush¢ran ‫ﺬ َﻣ َﻌ ُﻪ ُﻣﺸِﻴﺮﹰﺍ‬
‫ﺨﹶ‬‫ﻻ ﭐﱠﺗ ﹶ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
nor needs He any assistant, wa l¡ i¦t¡ja il¡ ¨ah¢rin ‫ﺝ ﹺﺇﹶﻟﻰٰ ﹶﻇﻬﹺﻴ ﹴﺮ‬
َ ‫ﺣﺘﹶﺎ‬
ْ ‫ﻻﭐ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
wa l¡ k¡na ma`ah£ min il¡hin
nor with Him is any god but He—
ghayruh£ ‫ﻦ ﹺﺇﻟٰ ٍﻪ ﹶﻏ ْﻴ ُﺮ ُﻩ‬
َ ‫ﻥ َﻣ َﻌ ُﻪ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﻻ ﻛﹶﺎ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
there is no god but You. l¡ il¡ha ill¡ anta ‫ﺖ‬
‫ﻻ ﺍَٴﻧ ﹶ‬
‫ﻻ ﹺﺇﻟٰ َﻪ ﹺﺇ ﱠ‬

So exalted are You above what the fata`¡layta `amm¡ yaq£lu
‫ﻥ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟﻈﱠﺎِﻟﻤُﻮ‬
‫ﺖ َﻋﻤﱠﺎ َﻳﻘﹸﻮ ﹸ‬
‫ﹶﻓ ﹶﺘﻌَﺎﹶﻟ ْﻴ ﹶ‬
evildoers say, a great exaltation! al¨¨¡lim£na `uluwwan kab¢ran
‫ُﻋ ﹸﻠ ّﻮﹰﺍ ﹶﻛﺒﹺﻴﺮﹰﺍ‬
O All-high! O All-lofty! O All- y¡ `aliyyu y¡ sh¡mikhu y¡
towering! b¡dhikhu ‫ﺥ‬
‫ﺦ ﻳَﺎ َﺑﺎِﺫ ﹸ‬
‫ﻲ ﻳَﺎ ﺷﹶﺎ ِﻣ ﹸ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﻋ ِﻠ ﱡ‬
O All-opener! O All-diffuser! O All- y¡ fatt¡¦u y¡ naff¡¦u y¡
restful! murt¡¦u ‫ﺡ‬
ُ ‫ﺡ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ْﺮﺗﹶﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﺡ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻧﻔﱠﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻓﺘﱠﺎ‬
O Bestower of relief! O Helper! O y¡ mufarriju y¡ n¡¥iru y¡
Giver of victory! munta¥iru ‫ﺼ ُﺮ‬
ِ ‫ﺻ ُﺮ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹾﻨ ﹶﺘ‬
ِ ‫ﺝ ﻳَﺎ ﻧﹶﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹶﻔ ﱢﺮ‬
O Comprehender! O Destroyer! O y¡ mudriku y¡ muhliku y¡
Avenger! muntaqimu ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹾﻨ ﹶﺘ ِﻘ‬
ُ ‫ﻙ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ْﻬ ِﻠ‬
ُ ‫ﺪ ﹺﺭ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ‬
O Upraiser! O Inheritor! y¡ b¡`ithu y¡ w¡rithu ‫ﺙ‬
‫ﺚ ﻳَﺎ ﻭَﺍ ﹺﺭ ﹸ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﺑَﺎ ِﻋ ﹸ‬
O Seeker! O Vanquisher! y¡ §¡libu y¡ gh¡libu ‫ﺐ‬
ُ ‫ﺐ َﻳﺎ ﹶﻏﺎِﻟ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻃﺎِﻟ‬
O He from Whom no fugitive can
escape! y¡ man l¡ yaf£tuh£ h¡ribun ‫ﺏ‬
ٌ ‫ﻻ َﻳﻔﹸﻮﹸﺗ ُﻪ ﻫَﺎ ﹺﺭ‬
َ‫ﻦ‬ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O All-relenting! O All-forbearing! O y¡ taww¡bu y¡ aww¡bu y¡
All-bestower! wahh¡bu ‫ﺏ‬
ُ ‫ﺏ ﻳَﺎ َﻭﻫﱠﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﺏ ﻳَﺎ ﺍَٴﻭﱠﺍ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﺗﻮﱠﺍ‬
O Originator of all means! y¡ musabbiba al-asb¡bi ‫ﺏ‬
‫ﺳﺒَﺎ ﹺ‬

‫ﻻْﺑﻮَﺍ ﹺ‬
‫ﺢ ﭐ َٴ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹶﻔ ﱢﺘ‬
O He Who answers wherever He is y¡ man ¦aythu m¡ du`iya
called upon! aj¡ba ‫ﺏ‬
َ ‫ﺚ ﻣَﺎ ُﺩﻋِﻲ ﺍَٴﺟَﺎ‬
‫ﺣ ْﻴ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O All-Pure! O All-thankful! y¡ §ah£ru y¡ shak£ru ‫ﺷﻜﹸﻮ َﺭ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻃﻬُﻮ ُﺭ ﻳَﺎ ﹶ‬
O Exempter! O Forgiver! y¡ `afuwwu y¡ ghaf£ru ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻋ ﹸﻔ ﱡﻮ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻏﻔﹸﻮ ُﺭ‬
O Light of light! y¡ n£ra alnn£ri ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻧﹸﻮ َﺭ ﭐﻟﻨﱡﻮ ﹺﺭ‬
O Director of all affairs! y¡ mudabbira al-um£ri ‫ﻻﻣُﻮ ﹺﺭ‬
‫ﺪﱢﺑ َﺮ ﭐ ُٴ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ‬
O All-subtle! O All-aware! y¡ la§¢fu y¡ khab¢ru ‫ﺧﺒﹺﻴ ُﺮ‬
‫ﻒ ﻳَﺎ ﹶ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻟﻄِﻴ‬
O Protector! O Illuminator! y¡ muj¢ru y¡ mun¢ru ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣﺠﹺﻴ ُﺮ ﻳَﺎ ُﻣﻨﹺﻴ ُﺮ‬
O All-seeing! O All-aiding! O All-
great! y¡ ba¥¢ru y¡ ¨ah¢ru y¡ kab¢ru ‫ﻳَﺎ َﺑﺼِﻴ ُﺮ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻇﻬﹺﻴ ُﺮ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻛﺒﹺﻴ ُﺮ‬
O Alone! O Solitary! y¡ witru y¡ fardu ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹺﻭﹾﺗ ُﺮ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻓ ْﺮ ُﺩ‬
O Eternity without end! O Support!

O All-benevolent! O All-bountiful! y¡ mun`imu y¡ muf¤ilu ‫ﻞ‬

ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹾﻨ ِﻌ‬

O All-beneficent! O All-solitary!

O He Who is master and exercises

O He Who is worshipped and

O He Who is not encompassed by

‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹶﻘ ﱢ‬
O Lofty in place! y¡ `¡liya almak¡ni ‫ﻥ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻋَﺎِﻟﻲ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤﻜﹶﺎ‬
O Firm in supports! y¡ shad¢da al-ark¡ni ‫ﻥ‬
ِ ‫ﻻ ْﺭﻛﹶﺎ‬
‫ﺪ ﭐ َٴ‬
َ ‫ﺷﺪِﻳ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶ‬
O Transformer of times! y¡ mubaddila alzzam¡ni ‫ﻥ‬
ِ ‫ﻝ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺰﻣَﺎ‬
‫ﺪﹶ‬‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ َﺒ ﱢ‬
O Accepter of sacrifices! y¡ q¡bila alqurb¡ni ‫ﻥ‬
ِ ‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﹸﻘ ْﺮﺑَﺎ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﻗﹶﺎﹺﺑ ﹶ‬
O Lord of graciousness and
benevolence! y¡ dhalmanni wal-i¦s¡ni ‫ﻥ‬
ِ ‫ﺣﺴَﺎ‬
ْ‫ﻹ‬ِ ‫ﻦ َﻭﭐ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ﱢ‬
O Lord of might and force! y¡ dhal`izzati walssul§¡ni ‫ﻥ‬

‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ ِﻌ ﱠﺰ ِﺓ َﻭﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
O All-compassionate! O All-merciful! y¡ ra¦¢mu y¡ ra¦m¡nu ‫ﻦ‬

ْ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ َﺭ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﺭﺣِﻴ‬
O He Who is every day upon some y¡ man huwa kulla yawmin f¢
labor! sha'nin ‫ﻥ‬
ٍ ‫ﺷْٴﺎ‬
‫ﻞ َﻳ ْﻮ ﹴﻡ ﻓِﻲ ﹶ‬
‫ﻦ ُﻫ َﻮ ﹸﻛ ﱠ‬

O He Who is in every place! y¡ man huwa bikulli mak¡nin ‫ﻥ‬

O He Who provides all needs! y¡ q¡¤iya al¦¡j¡ti ‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻗﹶﺎﺿِﻲ ﭐﹾﻟﺤَﺎﺟَﺎ‬
O He Who sends down blessings! y¡ munzila albarak¡ti ‫ﺕ‬

‫ﺤﻴﹺﻲ ﭐ َٴ‬

O He Who gathers all scattered

َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺟَﺎ ِﻣ‬

O He Who brings back what has

‫ﺠَٴﺎ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ ﹾﻠ‬
O Shelter of every wanderer! y¡ ma'w¡ kulli shar¢din ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺷﺮﹺﻳ‬

‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣْٴﺎ َﻭﻯٰ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬

O He Who provides for small

‫ﻄ ﹾﻔ ﹺ‬
‫ﻕ ﭐﻟ ﱢ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺭَﺍ ﹺﺯ‬
O He Who sets broken bones! y¡ j¡bira al`a¨mi alkas¢ri ‫ﻜﺴِﻴ ﹺﺮ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶ‬
‫ﻈﹺ‬‫ﻳَﺎ ﺟَﺎﹺﺑ َﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌ ﹾ‬
O He Who releases every prisoner! y¡ f¡kka kulli as¢rin ‫ﻞ ﺍَٴﺳِﻴ ﹴﺮ‬
‫ﻙ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﻓﹶﺎ ﱠ‬
O He Who enriches the miserable
pauper! y¡ mughniya alb¡'isi alfaq¢ri ‫ﺲ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻔﻘِﻴ ﹺﺮ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ﹾﻐﻨﹺﻲ ﭐﹾﻟﺒَﺎِﺋ ﹺ‬
O He Who safeguards the fearful
seeker of protection! y¡ `i¥mata alkh¡'ifi almustaj¢ri ‫ﺴ ﹶﺘﺠﹺﻴ ﹺﺮ‬
ْ ‫ﻒ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ‬
ِ ‫ﺼ َﻤ ﹶﺔ ﭐﹾﻟﺨﹶﺎِﺋ‬

O He Who is aware of everything!
khab¢run ‫ﺧﺒﹺﻴ ٌﺮ‬
‫ﻲ ٍﺀ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺷ‬
‫ﻞ ﹶ‬
‫ﻜ ﱢ‬
‫ﻦ ُﻫ َﻮ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
y¡ man huwa bikulli shay'in
O He Who sees everything!
ba¥¢run ‫ﻞ ﺷﹶﻲ ٍﺀ َﺑﺼِﻴ ٌﺮ‬
‫ﻜ ﱢ‬
‫ﻦ ُﻫ َﻮ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O Sender of the winds! y¡ mursila alrriy¡¦i ‫ﺡ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱢﺮﻳَﺎ ﹺ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ْﺮ‬
O Cleaver of the dawn! y¡ f¡liqa al-i¥b¡¦i ‫ﺡ‬
‫ﺻﺒَﺎ ﹺ‬
‫ﻹﹾ‬
ِ ‫ﻖﭐ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻓﺎِﻟ‬
O Dispatcher of the spirits! y¡ b¡`itha al-arw¡¦i ‫ﺡ‬
‫ﻻ ْﺭﻭَﺍ ﹺ‬
‫ﺚ ﭐ َٴ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﺑَﺎ ِﻋ ﹶ‬
O Lord of munificence and
forbearance! y¡ dhalj£di walssam¡¦i ‫ﺡ‬
‫ﺴﻤَﺎ ﹺ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟﺠُﻮ ِﺩ َﻭﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
O He in Whose Hand is every key! y¡ man biyadih¢ kullu mift¡¦in ‫ﺡ‬
‫ﻞ ِﻣ ﹾﻔﺘﹶﺎ ﹴ‬
‫ﺪ ِﻩ ﹸﻛ ﱡ‬
ِ ‫ﻦ ﹺﺑ َﻴ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O He Who hears every sound! y¡ s¡mi`a kulli ¥awtin ‫ﺕ‬
ٍ ‫ﺻ ْﻮ‬
‫ﻞ ﹶ‬
‫ﻊ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺳَﺎ ِﻣ‬
O He Who takes precedence over
everything that passes away! y¡ s¡biqa kulli fawtin ‫ﺕ‬
ٍ ‫ﻞ ﹶﻓ ْﻮ‬
‫ﻖ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺳَﺎﹺﺑ‬
O He Who gives life to every soul y¡ mu¦yiya kulli nafsin ba`da
after death! almawti ‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﺪ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤ ْﻮ‬
َ ‫ﺲ َﺑ ْﻌ‬
‫ﻞ ﹶﻧ ﹾﻔ ﹴ‬
‫ﺤﻴﹺﻲ ﹸﻛ ﱢ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ‬
O my Provision in my hardship! y¡ `uddat¢ f¢ shiddt¢ ‫ﺪﺗِﻲ‬
‫ﺷﱠ‬ِ ‫ﺪﺗِﻲ ﻓِﻲ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻋ ﱠ‬
O my Maintainer in my exile! y¡ ¦¡fi¨¢ f¢ ghurbat¢ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺣَﺎ ِﻓﻈِﻲ ﻓِﻲ ﹸﻏ ْﺮَﺑﺘِﻲ‬
O my Intimate in my lonesomeness! y¡ mu'nis¢ f¢ wa¦dat¢ ‫ﺪﺗِﻲ‬
َ‫ﺣ‬ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ْﺆﹺﻧﺴِﻲ ﻓِﻲ َﻭ‬
O my Sponsor in my blessings! y¡ waliyy¢ f¢ ni`mat¢ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻭِﻟ ﱢﻴﻲ ﻓِﻲ ﹺﻧ ْﻌ َﻤﺘِﻲ‬
O my haven when the ways make me y¡ kahf¢ ¦¢na tu`y¢n¢
weary, almadh¡hibu ‫ﺐ‬
ُ ‫ﻲ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤﺬﹶﺍ ِﻫ‬
‫ﻦ ﹸﺗ ْﻌﻴﹺﻴ ﹺﻨ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻛ ْﻬﻔِﻲ ﺣِﻴ‬
when relatives give me up wa tusallimun¢ al-aq¡ribu ‫ﺏ‬
ُ ‫ﻻﻗﹶﺎ ﹺﺭ‬
‫ﺴ ﱢﻠ ُﻤﻨﹺﻲ ﭐ َٴ‬

and when every companion forsakes

O backer of him who has no backer! y¡ j¡ra man l¡ j¡ra lah£ ‫ﻻ ﺟَﺎ َﺭ ﹶﻟ ُﻪ‬
َ‫ﻦ‬ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺟَﺎ َﺭ َﻣ‬
O my Adjacent Neighbor! y¡ j¡riya alla¥¢qa ‫ﻖ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺟَﺎﺭﹺﻱ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠﺼِﻴ‬
O my Sturdy Pillar! y¡ rukniya alwath¢qa ‫ﻖ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﺭ ﹾﻛﻨﹺﻲ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻮﺛِﻴ‬
O My God in truth! y¡ il¡h¢ biltta¦q¢qi ‫ﻖ‬
‫ﺤﻘِﻴ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹺﺇﻟٰﻬﹺﻲ َﺑﭑﻟ ﱠﺘ‬
O Lord of the Ancient House! y¡ rabba albayti al`at¢qi ‫ﻖ‬
‫ﺖ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻌﺘِﻴ ﹺ‬
ِ ‫ﺏ ﭐﹾﻟ َﺒ ْﻴ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﺭ ﱠ‬
O All-affectionate! O Friend! y¡ shaf¢qu y¡ raf¢qu ‫ﻖ‬
ُ ‫ﻖ ﻳَﺎ َﺭﻓِﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﺷﻔِﻴ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶ‬
Deliver me from the chains of
strictures, fukkan¢ min ¦alaqi alma¤¢qi ‫ﻖ‬
‫ﻖ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻤﻀِﻴ ﹺ‬
‫ﺣ ﹶﻠ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﻜﻨﹺﻲ ِﻣ‬
‫ﹸﻓ ﱠ‬
turn away from me every care, grief wa¥rif `ann¢ kulla hammin wa
and distress, ghammin wa ¤¢qin ‫ﻖ‬
‫ﻢ َﻭﺿِﻴ ﹴ‬
‫ﻢ َﻭ ﹶﻏ ﱟ‬
‫ﻞ َﻫ ﱟ‬
‫ﻑ َﻋﻨﱢﻲ ﹸﻛ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ﺻ ﹺﺮ‬
‫َﻭﭐ ﹾ‬
protect me from the evil of that
which I cannot bear, wakfin¢ sharra m¡ l¡ u§¢qu ‫ﻖ‬
ُ ‫ﻻ ﺍُٴﻃِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﺷ ﱠﺮ ﻣَﺎ‬
‫َﻭﭐ ﹾﻛ ِﻔﻨﹺﻲ ﹶ‬
and help me in that which I am able
to bear! wa a`inn¢ `al¡ m¡ u§¢qu ‫ﻖ‬
ُ ‫َﻭﺍَٴ ِﻋﻨﱢﻲ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﻣَﺎ ﺍُٴﻃِﻴ‬
O He Who returned Joseph to Jacob! y¡ r¡dda y£sufa `al¡ ya`q£ba ‫ﺏ‬
َ ‫ﻒ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ َﻳ ْﻌﻘﹸﻮ‬
َ ‫ﺳ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺭَﺍ ﱠﺩ ﻳُﻮ‬
O He Who removed the affliction of
Job! y¡ k¡shifa ¤urri ayy£ba ‫ﺏ‬
َ ‫ﺿ ﱠﺮ ﺍَٴﻳﱡﻮ‬
‫ﻒ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺷ‬
ِ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﻛﹶﺎ‬
O He Who forgave the sin of David! y¡ gh¡fira dhanbi d¡w£da ‫ﺐ ﺩَﺍ ُﻭﻭ َﺩ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ ﻏﹶﺎ ِﻓ َﺮ ﹶﺫﹾﻧ ﹺ‬
O He Who caused Jesus, the son of y¡ r¡fi`a `¢s¡ ibni maryama ‫ﻢ َﻭﻣُﻨﺠﹺﻴ ِﻪ‬
َ ‫ﻦ َﻣ ْﺮَﻳ‬
‫ﺴﻰٰ ْﺑ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﻋِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺭَﺍ ِﻓ‬
Mary, to ascend and delivered him wa munjiyah£ min a y d¢
from the hands of the Jews! alyah£di
‫ﻦ ﺍَٴْﻳﺪِﻱ ﭐﹾﻟ َﻴﻬُﻮ ِﺩ‬
ْ ‫ِﻣ‬
O He Who answered Jonah's call in y¡ muj¢ba nid¡'i y£nusa f¢
‫ﺲ ﻓِﻲ‬
َ ‫ﺐ ﹺﻧﺪَﺍ ِﺀ ﻳُﻮﹸﻧ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣﺠﹺﻴ‬
the darkness! al¨¨ulum¡ti
‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﻈ ﹸﻠﻤَﺎ‬
‫ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
O He Who chose Moses by spoken
words! y¡ mu¥§afiya m£s¡ bilkalim¡ti ‫ﺕ‬
ِ ‫ﻜ ِﻠﻤَﺎ‬
‫ﺳﻰٰ ﹺﺑﭑﹾﻟ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻄﻔِﻲ ﻣُﻮ‬

O He Who forgave Adam his slip
kha§¢'atah£ ‫ﺧﻄِﻴ ﹶﺌ ﹶﺘ ُﻪ‬
‫ﻵ َﺩ َﻡ ﹶ‬
ِ ‫ﻦ ﹶﻏ ﹶﻔ َﺮ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
and raised Idr¢s to a high place wa rafa`a idr¢sa mak¡nan
through his mercy! `aliyyan bira¦matih¢ ‫ﺣ َﻤ ِﺘ ِﻪ‬
ْ ‫ﺲ َﻣﻜﹶﺎﻧ ﹰﺎ َﻋ ِﻠ ّﻴ ﹰﺎ ﹺﺑ َﺮ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﹺﺇ ْﺩﺭﹺﻳ‬
َ ‫َﻭ َﺭ ﹶﻓ‬
O He Who saved Noah from y¡ man najj¡ n£¦an mina
drowning! algharaqi ‫ﻕ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﹶﻐ َﺮ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﺠﻰٰ ﻧﹸﻮﺣ ﹰﺎ ِﻣ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﻧ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O He Who destroyed `ªd, the
ancient, y¡ man ahlaka `¡dan al-£l¡ ٰ‫ﻻﻭﹶﻟﻰ‬
‫ﻚ ﻋَﺎﺩﹰﺍ ﭐ ُٴ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﺍَٴ ْﻫ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
and Tham£d, and did not spare
them, wa tham£da fam¡ abq¡ ٰ‫َﻭﹶﺛﻤُﻮ َﺩ ﹶﻓﻤَﺎ ﺍَٴْﺑ ﹶﻘﻰ‬
and the people of Noah before; wa qawma n£¦in min qablu ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﻗ ْﺒ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺡ ِﻣ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶﻗ ْﻮ َﻡ ﻧﹸﻮ ﹴ‬
certainly, they were most unjust and innahum k¡n£ hum a¨lama wa
more rebellious, a§gh¡ ٰ‫ﻢ َﻭﺍَٴ ﹾﻃ ﹶﻐﻰ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﺍَٴ ﹾﻇ ﹶﻠ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﻛﹶﺎﻧﹸﻮﺍ ُﻫ‬
ْ ‫ﹺﺇﱠﻧ ُﻬ‬
and al-Mu'tafikah, He also
overthrew. walmu'tafikata ahw¡ ٰ‫ﻜ ﹶﺔ ﺍَٴ ْﻫ َﻮﻯ‬
‫َﻭﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﺆﹶﺗ ِﻔ ﹶ‬
O He Who destroyed the people of y¡ man dammra `al¡ qawmi
Lot l£§in ‫ﻁ‬
ٍ ‫ﻦ َﺩ ﱠﻣ َﺮ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﹶﻗ ْﻮ ﹺﻡ ﻟﹸﻮ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
wa damdama `al¡ qawmi
and crushed the people of Shu`ayb!
shu`aybin ‫ﺐ‬
‫ﺷ َﻌ ْﻴ ﹴ‬
‫ﺪ َﻡ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﹶﻗ ْﻮ ﹺﻡ ﹸ‬
َ ‫َﻭ َﺩ ْﻣ‬
O He Who took Abraham for a y¡ man ittakhadha ibr¡h¢ma
friend! khal¢lan ‫ﻼ‬
‫ﺧﻠِﻴ ﹰ‬
‫ﻢ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺬ ﹺﺇْﺑﺮَﺍﻫِﻴ‬
‫ﺨﹶ‬‫ﻦ ﭐﱠﺗ ﹶ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ ﹺ‬
O You Who took Moses for an object y¡ man ittakhadha m£s¡
of His words, kal¢man ‫ﺳﻰٰ ﹶﻛﻠِﻴﻤ ﹰﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺬ ﻣُﻮ‬
‫ﺨﹶ‬‫ﻦ ﭐﱠﺗ ﹶ‬
‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ ﹺ‬
and took Mu¦ammad, may Allah wattkhadha mu¦ammadan ‫ﺻ ﱠﻠﻰٰ ﺍﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺤﻤﱠﺪﹰﺍ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺬ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺨﹶ‬‫َﻭﭐﱠﺗ ﹶ‬
bless him and his Household, for a ¥all¡ all¡hu `alayhi wa ¡lih¢ wa
beloved! `alayhim ajma`¢na ¦ab¢ban
‫ﺣﺒﹺﻴﺒ ﹰﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺟ َﻤﻌِﻴ‬
ْ ‫ﻢ ﺍَٴ‬
ْ ‫ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ﹺﻬ‬
O He Who gave Luqm¡n wisdom, y¡ mu'tiya luqm¡na al¦ikmata ‫ﻜ َﻤ ﹶﺔ‬
‫ﺤﹾ‬
ِ ‫ﻥ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ُﻣ ْﺆﺗِﻲ ﹸﻟ ﹾﻘﻤَﺎ‬
and bestowed upon Solomon a
kingdom walw¡hiba lisulaym¡na mulkan ‫ﻥ ُﻣﻠﹾﻜ ﹰﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺴ ﹶﻠ ْﻴﻤَﺎ‬
ُ ‫ﺐ ِﻟ‬
َ ‫َﻭﭐﹾﻟﻮَﺍ ِﻫ‬
such as may not befit anyone after l¡ yanbagh¢ li'a¦adin min
him! ba`dih¢ ‫ﺪ ِﻩ‬
ِ ‫ﻦ َﺑ ْﻌ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ِﻣ‬
ٍ‫ﺣ‬َ ‫ﻻ َﻳ ﹾﻨ َﺒﻐِﻲ ﻻَٴ‬
َ
O He Who gave Dhul-Qarnayn y¡ man na¥ara dhalqarnayni
ٰ‫ﻦ ﻋَﻠﻰ‬
‫ﺼ َﺮ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻘ ْﺮﹶﻧ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﻧ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
victory over the tyrannical kings! `al¡ almul£ki aljab¡birati
‫ﺠﺒَﺎﹺﺑ َﺮ ِﺓ‬
َ ‫ﻙ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
ِ ‫ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤﻠﹸﻮ‬
O He Who gave al-Kha¤ir (eternal)
life y¡ man a`§¡ alkhi¤ra al¦ayata ‫ﺤﻴَﺎ ﹶﺓ‬
َ ‫ﻀ َﺮ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﺨ ﹾ‬
ِ ‫ﻄﻰٰ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
‫ﻦ ﺍَٴ ْﻋ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
and returned the sun to Joshua, the wa radda liy£sha`a bni n£nin
‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ﺲ َﺑ ْﻌ‬
َ ‫ﺸ ْﻤ‬
‫ﻥ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
ٍ ‫ﻦ ﻧﹸﻮ‬

O He Who strengthened the heart of y¡ man raba§a `al¡ qalbi ummi
Moses' mother, m£s¡ ٰ‫ﺳﻰ‬
َ ‫ﺐ ﺍُٴ ﱢﻡ ﻣُﻮ‬
‫ﻂ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﹶﻗ ﹾﻠ ﹺ‬
‫ﻦ َﺭَﺑ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
and guarded the virginity of Mary, wa a¦¥ana farja maryama
the daughter of `Imr¡n! ibnati `imr¡na ‫ﻥ‬
َ ‫ﻢ ﭐْﺑ ﹶﻨ ِﺔ ِﻋ ْﻤﺮَﺍ‬
َ ‫ﺝ َﻣ ْﺮَﻳ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹶﻓ ْﺮ‬
َ ‫ﺼ‬
‫ﺣ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﺍَٴ‬
O He Who fortified John, the son of y¡ man ¦a¥¥ana ya¦y¡ ibna
‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹶﺯ ﹶﻛ ﹺﺮﱠﻳﺎ ِﻣ‬
َ ‫ﺤ َﻴﻰٰ ْﺑ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ َﻳ‬
َ ‫ﺼ‬
‫ﺣ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
Zachariah, against sins zakariyy¡ mina aldhdhanbi
‫ﺐ‬
‫ﺬﹾﻧ ﹺ‬
‫ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
wa sakkana `an m£s¡
and calmed the anger of Moses!
algha¤aba ‫ﺐ‬
َ ‫ﻀ‬
‫ﺳﻰٰ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻐ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﻣُﻮ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ َﻋ‬
َ ‫ﻜ‬
‫ﺳﱠ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
O He Who gave Zachariah the good y¡ man bashshara zakariyy¡
news of the birth of John! biya¦y¡ ٰ‫ﺤ َﻴﻰ‬
ْ ‫ﺸ َﺮ ﹶﺯ ﹶﻛ ﹺﺮﻳَﺎ ﹺﺑ َﻴ‬
‫ﻦ َﺑ ﱠ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
O He Who ransomed Ishmael from y¡ man fad¡ ism¡`¢la mina
‫ﺢ‬
‫ﺬْﺑ ﹺ‬
‫ﻦ ﭐﻟ ﱠ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ِﻣ‬
‫ﺳﻤَﺎﻋِﻴ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺪﻯٰ ﹺﺇ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹶﻓ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
the sacrifice with a mighty sacrifice! aldhdhab¦i bidhib¦in `a¨¢min
‫ﻢ‬
‫ﺢ َﻋﻈِﻴ ﹴ‬
‫ﺬْﺑ ﹴ‬
ِ ‫ﹺﺑ‬
O He Who accepted the sacrifice of
Abel y¡ man qabila qurb¡na h¡b¢la ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﻥ ﻫَﺎﺑﹺﻴ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ﹸﻗ ْﺮﺑَﺎ‬
‫ﻦ ﹶﻗ ﹺﺒ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﻣ‬
and placed a curse upon Cain! wa ja`ala alla`nata `al¡ q¡b¢la ‫ﻞ‬
‫ﻞ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ْﻌ ﹶﻨ ﹶﺔ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﻗﹶﺎﺑﹺﻴ ﹶ‬
‫ﺟ َﻌ ﹶ‬
َ ‫َﻭ‬
O He Who routed the parties for y¡ h¡zima al-a¦z¡bi ٰ‫ﺻ ﱠﻠﻰ‬
‫ﺪ ﹶ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺏ ِﻟ ُﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺣﺰﹶﺍ‬
ْ‫ﻻ‬‫ﻳَﺎ ﻫَﺎ ﹺﺯ َﻡ ﭐ َٴ‬
Mu¦ammad, may Allah bless him limu¦ammadin ¥all¡ all¡hu
and his Household! `alayhi wa ¡lih¢
‫ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
(please do) Bless Mu¦ammad, the ¥alli `al¡ mu¦ammadin wa ¡li
household of Mu¦ammad, mu¦ammadin ‫ﺪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻝ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁ ﹺ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﻞ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫ﺻ ﱢ‬
‫ﹶ‬

wa `al¡ jam¢`i almursal¢na wa

‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺳﻠِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ْﺮ‬
‫ﺟﻤِﻴ ﹺ‬
َ ٰ‫َﻭ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰ‬
all the messengers, Your archangels,
mal¡'ikatika almuqarrab¢na
‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻚ ﭐﹾﻟ ُﻤ ﹶﻘ ﱠﺮﺑﹺﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻜ ِﺘ‬
‫َﻭﻣَﻼِﺋ ﹶ‬
and all those who obey You! wa ahli §¡`atika ajma`¢na ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺟ َﻤﻌِﻴ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ﺍَٴ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ﻃﹶﺎ َﻋ ِﺘ‬
‫َﻭﺍَٴ ْﻫ ﹺ‬
I beseech You the supplication of wa as'aluka bikulli mas'alatin
‫ﻚ ﹺﺑﻬَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺳَٴﺎﹶﻟ‬
َ ‫ﺴَٴﺎﹶﻟ ٍﺔ‬
ْ ‫ﻞ َﻣ‬
‫ﻜ ﱢ‬
‫ﻚ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺳَٴﺎﹸﻟ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﺍَٴ‬
every one who has besought you sa'alaka bih¡ a¦adun
‫ﺪ‬
ٌ‫ﺣ‬َ ‫ﺍَٴ‬
and with whom You have been
mimman ra¤¢ta `anhu
‫ﺖ ﹶﻟ ُﻪ‬
‫ﺤ ﹶﺘ ْﻤ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﺖ َﻋ ﹾﻨ ُﻪ ﹶﻓ‬
‫ﻦ َﺭﺿِﻴ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ِﻣ َﻤ‬
pleased and thus decided to grant
fa¦atamta lah£ `al¡ al-ij¡bati
his request.
‫ﻹﺟَﺎَﺑ ِﺔ‬
ِ ‫ﻋَﻠﻰٰ ﭐ‬
O Allah! O Allah! O Allah! y¡ all¡hu y¡ all¡hu y¡ all¡hu ‫ﻳَﺎ ﹶﺍﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﺍﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﺍﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ‬
O All-merciful! O All-merciful! O y¡ ra¦m¡nu y¡ ra¦m¡nu y¡
All-merciful! ra¦m¡nu ‫ﻦ‬
ُ ٰ‫ﺣﻤ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﻳَﺎ َﺭ‬
ُ ٰ‫ﺣﻤ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ ﻳَﺎ َﺭ‬
ُ ٰ‫ﺣﻤ‬
ْ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﺭ‬

ra¦¢mu ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ َﺭﺣِﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﻢ ﻳَﺎ َﺭﺣِﻴ‬
ُ ‫ﻳَﺎ َﺭﺣِﻴ‬
O Lord of majesty and honor! y¡ dhaljal¡li wal-ikr¡mi ‫ﻹ ﹾﻛﺮَﺍ ﹺﻡ‬
ِ ‫ﻝ َﻭﭐ‬
‫ﻼ ﹺ‬
َ‫ﺠ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
O Lord of majesty and honor! y¡ dhaljal¡li wal-ikr¡mi ‫ﻹ ﹾﻛﺮَﺍ ﹺﻡ‬
ِ ‫ﻝ َﻭﭐ‬
‫ﻼ ﹺ‬
َ‫ﺠ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ‬

ِ ‫ﻝ َﻭﭐ‬
‫ﺠﻼَ ﹺ‬
َ ‫ﻳَﺎ ﺫﹶﺍ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him!
By Him! By Him! By Him! bih¢ bih¢ bih¢ bih¢ bih¢ bih¢ bih¢ ‫ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ‬
I beseech You by every Name with as'aluka bikulli ismin
‫ﺖ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺳ ﱠﻤ ْﻴ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﻢ‬
‫ﺳﹴ‬ْ ‫ﻞﭐ‬
‫ﻜ ﱢ‬
‫ﻚ ﹺﺑ ﹸ‬
َ ‫ﺳَٴﺎﹸﻟ‬
ْ ‫ﺍَٴ‬
which You have named Yourself sammayta bih¢ nafsaka
‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺴ‬
َ ‫ﹶﻧ ﹾﻔ‬
or which You have sent down in one aw anzaltah£ f¢ shay'in min
of Your scriptures kutubika ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ﹸﻛ ﹸﺘ ﹺﺒ‬
ْ ‫ﻲ ٍﺀ ِﻣ‬
ْ ‫ﺷ‬
‫ﺍَٴ ْﻭ ﺍَٴﹾﻧ ﹶﺰﹾﻟ ﹶﺘ ُﻪ ﻓِﻲ ﹶ‬
or kept for Yourself in the knowledge aw ista'tharta bih¢ f¢ `ilmi
‫ﺐ‬
‫ﻢ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻐ ْﻴ ﹺ‬
‫ﺕ ﹺﺑ ِﻪ ﻓِﻲ ِﻋ ﹾﻠ ﹺ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶﺘْٴﺎﹶﺛ ْﺮ ﹶ‬
ْ ‫ﺍَٴ ﹺﻭ ﭐ‬
of the Unseen with You, alghaybi `indaka
‫ﻙ‬
َ ‫ﺪ‬
َ ‫ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻱ ِﻋ ﹾﻨ‬
by the junctures of might for Your wa bima`¡qidi al`izzi min
Throne, `arshika ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﺷ‬
ِ ‫ﻦ َﻋ ْﺮ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ﭐﹾﻟ ِﻌ ﱢﺰ ِﻣ‬
ِ ‫َﻭﹺﺑ َﻤ َﻌﺎِﻗ‬
by the utmost limit of mercy from wa bimuntah¡ alrra¦mati min
Your Book, kit¡bika ‫ﻚ‬
َ ‫ﻦ ِﻛﺘﹶﺎﹺﺑ‬
ْ ‫ﺣ َﻤ ِﺔ ِﻣ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﹺﺑ ُﻤ ﹾﻨ ﹶﺘ َﻬﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮ‬
by the fact that, “though all the trees wa bim¡ wa law anna m¡ f¢ al-
‫ﻦ‬
ْ ‫ﺽ ِﻣ‬
‫ﻻ ْﺭ ﹺ‬
‫ﻥَﻣَﺎ ﻓِﻲ ﭐ َٴ‬
ّ ‫َﻭﹺﺑﻤَﺎ ﴿ َﻭﹶﻟ ْﻮ ﺍَٴ‬
in the earth were pens ar¤i min shajaratin aql¡mun
‫ﺠ َﺮ ٍﺓ ﺍَٴ ﹾﻗﻼَ ٌﻡ‬
َ‫ﺷ‬‫ﹶ‬
and the sea - seven seas after it to walba¦ru yamudduh£ min
‫ﺳ ْﺒ َﻌ ﹸﺔ‬
َ ‫ﺪ ِﻩ‬
ِ ‫ﻦ َﺑ ْﻌ‬
ْ ‫ﺪ ُﻩ ِﻣ‬
‫ﺤ ُﺮ َﻳ ُﻤ ﱡ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﭐﹾﻟ َﺒ‬
replenish it, ba`dih¢ sab`atu ab¦urin
‫ﺤ ﹴﺮ‬
ُ ‫ﺍَٴْﺑ‬
yet the words of Allah not be spent. m¡ nafidat kalim¡tu all¡hi ‫ﺕ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
‫ﺕ ﹶﻛ ِﻠ َﻤﺎ ﹸ‬
‫ﺪ ﹾ‬
َ ‫ﻣَﺎ ﹶﻧ ِﻔ‬
Allah is All-mighty, All-wise.” inna all¡ha `az¢zun ¦ak¢mun ﴾‫ﻢ‬
ٌ ‫ﺣﻜِﻴ‬
َ ‫ﻥ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ َﻋﺰﹺﻳ ﹲﺰ‬
‫ﹺﺇ ﱠ‬
And I beseech You by Your Most wa as'aluka bi-asm¡'ika
Excellent Names al¦usn¡ ٰ‫ﺴ ﹶﻨﻰ‬
ْ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﻚ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
َ ‫ﺳﻤَﺎِﺋ‬
ْ ‫ﻚ ﹺﺑَٴﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺳَٴﺎﹸﻟ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﺍَٴ‬
that You have described in Your
book thus saying,
allat¢ na`attah¡ f¢ kit¡bika
faqulta :‫ﺖ‬
‫ﻚ ﹶﻓ ﹸﻘ ﹾﻠ ﹶ‬
َ ‫ﭐﱠﻟﺘِﻲ ﹶﻧ َﻌ ﱠﺘﻬَﺎ ﻓِﻲ ِﻛﺘﹶﺎﹺﺑ‬
“To Allah belong the Most Excellent wa lill¡hi al-asm¡'u al¦usn¡
‫ﺴ ﹶﻨﻰٰ ﹶﻓﭑ ْﺩﻋُﻮ ُﻩ‬
ْ ‫ﺤ‬
ُ ‫ﺳﻤَﺎ ُﺀ ﭐﹾﻟ‬
ْ‫ﻻ‬
‫﴿ َﻭِﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ ﭐ َٴ‬
Names, so call Him by them!” fad`£hu bih¡
﴾‫ﹺﺑﻬَﺎ‬

And You said: “Call upon Me and I
will answer you.” wa qulta ud`£n¢ astajib lakum ﴾‫ﻢ‬
ْ‫ﻜ‬‫ﺐ ﹶﻟ ﹸ‬
ْ ‫ﺠ‬
‫ﺳ ﹶﺘ ﹺ‬
ْ ‫ ﴿ﺍُٴ ْﺩﻋُﻮﻧﹺﻲ ﺍَٴ‬:‫ﺖ‬
‫َﻭ ﹸﻗ ﹾﻠ ﹶ‬
And You said: “And when My
wa qulta wa idh¡ sa'alaka
‫ﻚ ِﻋﺒَﺎﺩِﻱ َﻋﻨﱢﻲ‬
َ ‫ﺳَٴﺎﹶﻟ‬
َ ‫ ﴿ َﻭﹺﺇﺫﹶﺍ‬:‫ﺖ‬
‫َﻭ ﹸﻗ ﹾﻠ ﹶ‬
servants ask you concerning Me,
`ib¡d¢ `ann¢ fa'inn¢ qar¢bun
then surely I am very near;
‫ﺐ‬
ٌ ‫ﹶﻓ ﹺﺈﻧﱢﻲ ﹶﻗﺮﹺﻳ‬
I answer the prayer of the suppliant uj¢bu da`wata aldd¡`¢ idh¡
when he calls on Me.” da`¡ni ﴾‫ﺐ َﺩ ْﻋ َﻮ ﹶﺓ ﭐﻟﺪﱠﺍﻋِﻲ ﹺﺇﺫﹶﺍ َﺩﻋَﺎﻧﹺﻲ‬
ُ ‫ﺍُٴﺟﹺﻴ‬
And You said: “Say: O My servants wa qulta qul y¡ `ib¡diya ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﻞ ﻳَﺎ ِﻋﺒَﺎﺩِﻱ ﭐﱠﻟﺬِﻳ‬
‫ ﴿ ﹸﻗ ﹾ‬:‫ﺖ‬
‫َﻭ ﹸﻗ ﹾﻠ ﹶ‬
who have been prodigal against alladh¢na asraf£ `al¡
yourselves; anfusihim
‫ﻢ‬
ْ ‫ﺴ ﹺﻬ‬
ِ ‫ﺳ َﺮﻓﹸﻮﺍ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ﺍَٴﹾﻧ ﹸﻔ‬
ْ ‫ﺍَٴ‬
do not despair of Allah's mercy. l¡ taqna§£ min ra¦mati all¡hi ‫ﺣ َﻤ ِﺔ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ‬
ْ ‫ﻦ َﺭ‬
ْ ‫ﻻ ﹶﺗ ﹾﻘ ﹶﻨﻄﹸﻮﺍ ِﻣ‬
َ
inna all¡ha yaghfiru
Surely, Allah forgives all sins.
aldhdhun£ba jam¢`an ‫ﺟﻤِﻴﻌ ﹰﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺏ‬
َ ‫ﺬﻧﹸﻮ‬
‫ﻥ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ َﻪ َﻳ ﹾﻐ ِﻔ ُﺮ ﭐﻟ ﱡ‬
‫ﹺﺇ ﱠ‬
Surely, He is the All-forgiving, the innah£ huwa alghaf£ru
All-compassionate.” alrra¦¢mu ﴾‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﹺﺇﱠﻧ ُﻪ ُﻫ َﻮ ﭐﹾﻟ ﹶﻐﻔﹸﻮ ُﺭ ﭐﻟ ﱠﺮﺣِﻴ‬
And I ask You, O my God, wa an¡ as'aluka y¡ il¡h¢ ‫ﻚ ﻳَﺎ ﹺﺇﻟٰﻬﹺﻲ‬
َ ‫ﺳَٴﺎﹸﻟ‬
ْ ‫َﻭﺍَٴﻧﹶﺎ ﺍَٴ‬
I call You, O my Lord, wa ad`£ka y¡ rabbi ‫ﺏ‬
‫ﻙ ﻳَﺎ َﺭ ﱢ‬
َ ‫َﻭﺍَٴ ْﺩ ُﻋﻮ‬
I please You, O my Master, wa arj£ka y¡ sayyid¢ ‫ﺳ ﱢﻴﺪِﻱ‬
َ ‫ﻙ ﻳَﺎ‬
َ ‫َﻭﺍَٴ ْﺭﺟَﻮ‬
and I desire for You to respond to
wa a§ma`u f¢ ij¡bat¢ y¡
‫ﻱ ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ‬
َ ‫ﻊ ﻓِﻲ ﹺﺇﺟَﺎَﺑ ِﺘﻲ ﻳَﺎ َﻣﻮْﻻ‬
ُ ‫َﻭﺍَٴ ﹾﻃ َﻤ‬
me, O my Protector, just as You have
mawl¡ya kam¡ wa`adtan¢
promised me—
‫َﻭﻋَﺪﱠﺗ ﹺﻨﻲ‬
for I have called You just as You wa qad da`awtuka kam¡
have commanded me. amartan¢ ‫ﻚ ﹶﻛﻤَﺎ ﺍَٴ َﻣ ْﺮﹶﺗ ﹺﻨﻲ‬
َ ‫ﺪ َﺩ َﻋ ْﻮﹸﺗ‬
ْ ‫َﻭ ﹶﻗ‬
So, do to me what is worthy of You, faf`al b¢ m¡ anta ahluh£ y¡
O All-generous! kar¢mu ‫ﻢ‬
ُ ‫ﺖ ﺍَٴ ْﻫ ﹸﻠ ُﻪ ﻳَﺎ ﹶﻛﺮﹺﻳ‬
‫ﻞ ﹺﺑﻲ ﻣَﺎ ﺍَٴﻧ ﹶ‬
‫ﹶﻓﭑ ﹾﻓ َﻌ ﹾ‬
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the wal¦amdu lill¡hi rabbi
Worlds. al`¡lam¢na ‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺏ ﭐﹾﻟﻌَﺎﹶﻟﻤِﻴ‬
‫ﺪ ِﻟ ﱠﻠ ِﻪ َﺭ ﱢ‬
ُ ‫ﺤ ْﻤ‬
َ ‫َﻭﭐﹾﻟ‬
May Allah bless Mu¦ammad and his wa ¥all¡ all¡hu `al¡ ‫ﺪ ﻭَﺁِﻟ ِﻪ‬
ٍ ‫ﺤ ﱠﻤ‬
َ ‫ﺻ ﱠﻠﻰٰ ﭐﻟ ﱠﻠ ُﻪ َﻋ ﹶﻠﻰٰ ُﻣ‬
‫َﻭ ﹶ‬
entire Household. mu¦ammadin wa ¡lih¢
ajma`¢na
‫ﻦ‬
َ ‫ﺟ َﻤﻌِﻴ‬
ْ ‫ﺍَٴ‬
Then you may pray Almighty Allah to grant you your personal requests and they will be granted, Allah willing.
According to the narration mentioned in Muhaj al-Da`aw¡t, one must say this supplication while being in a state of ritual
purity.
