STUDENT-DESIGNED INFOGRAPHIC 10%

Infographic is a visual representation of information in a graphic format designed to make it easily

understandable at a glance. Therefore, it will provide a medium to communicate information to a public
audience effectively within a short time span and at the same time help to improve student’s
understanding on the focused topic which they are working on.

Microsoft recently discovered that the current human attention span is only 8 seconds, so readers spend
less time on reading than before. Therefore, the infographic should have a focused, less clutter, brief, yet
concise information. Attractive choice of colours and designs is required to capture the readers’ interest.
The theme for this semester is “Common Errors in English Grammar By Malaysian Students”.

Infographic Design Process

1. Create a group of 2-3 persons.

2. Do research on the given theme.
3. Choose a topic.
4. Submit a proposal for approval.
5. Prepare the first draft by sketch.
6. Design the infographic using
a. Apps such as easel.ly, piktochart, info.gram, visual.ly or
b. may also use Microsoft Office (Word /PowerPoint) or
c. Adobe Illustrator/ Photoshop.
7. Each infographic must meet the following requirements
a. Infographic size : A3 (Portrait)
b. Include a combination of words, images, and graphics (if required, numbers too)
c. Include links at the bottom to add material cited & images used
8. Submit hardcopy and softcopy of the designed infographic.
9. In-class Presentation
10. Deadline : Week 10
