 Fuse

Fuse is one kind of electrical devices that usually used in many electrical installation.
The function of fuse is to protect the installation from short circuits condition. Actually fuse
protects installation by protecting the cable from a huge value of electrical current that come
through in the cable or the conductor. When electrical current pass through the cable, it’s
increase the temperature of the cable. If the current become huge than the rating of the cable,
then the cable or conductor become overheating. The overheating condition may cause the
fire on the overheating cable because of the conductor is melting then the isolator will be on
fire if it left continuosly.

Parts of fuse consists from the covers, body, and the copper filamen inside the body.
The work principal of fuse to protect the circuits is by breaking the copper filamen inside the
fuse. When short circuits happen the temperature of the conductor will gain up significantly
higher than the normal condition, it will be break the filamen and disconnects the circuits
from power supply.

Fuse usually used in many kind of electrical installation. For example at house
electrical installation, transformer installation, motor installation, power pack, etc. For house
installation, fuse usually take place near the kWh meter of the installation. At the motor
installation, fuses were used for protects the power circuits that connects the supply to the
motor.

Kind of fuse are depends on the rating of the breaking capability or the ampere rating.
The common ratings for 220V that commonly purchased by consumer are 2A, 4A, 6A, 10A,
15A, 20A, 25A, 35A, 50A, untill 60A. The more huge the ratings the more expensive the
price too.

Fuses are used to protects the cable on installation from short circuits by breaking the
copper filamen inside the body of it because of the gaining of the temperature. Fuse usually
applicated at many electrical installation or electrical devices. The ratings of fuse determine
the price of it.
