Main topic: film censorship

Key issue of concern to GP: Film in movie theatres cannot contain any
scenes related to LGBT

Important details:
Abdul Halim Abdul Hamid, chairman of the censorship board, argued
Wednesday that Malaysia was not preventing the movie from being
screened.

Causes:
Malaysia is a majority-Muslim country, and sodomy is illegal there,
although the law is seldom enforced and a lot of children are going to be
watching the film thus it must be removed of any LGBT
scenes

Implications:
Proponents are pushing for censorship because it limits the exposure of
people and children to LGBT behavior which is deemed as socially
unacceptable

Use of language: sodomy
