- I will observe the learners to see if they are moving with me and to the beat of the music
- I will observe and see if they can subdivide the beat with the music, and if some are
struggling I will go back do the down beat
- I will ask the learners if they can identify if and where the music changed

6. Extension
To make this experience longer you can start by choosing a longer song or multiple songs.
Begin by simple hand or feet movements in your chair. As the song progresses have the class
stand up and incorporate movements where they travel. Ideas include stepping to make a
square formation or having the class step in time to the music and walk across the room.
