Definition of terms

The key terms in the study are given the following operational definition.

Athlete

a person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring

physical strength, agility, or stamina.

Coach

A person involved in the direction, instruction and training of the operations of a

sports team or of the individual sport people. A coach may also be a teacher.

Sports

An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team

competes against another or other for entertainment.

Sport officiating

A Someone who controls the actual play of a competition and administers the
rules and laws of the sport to ensure the proper conduct of a sporting fixture in a safe
environment.

Academic performance

Is the extent to which a student, teacher or institution has achieved their short or
long-term educational goals

Managing

To have control of a business, department, sports team to take care of and make
decision about time or money to direct the professional career of entertainer or athlete.

Highschool student

An academic institution providing education more advanced than elementary

school or middle school but less advanced than college, typically grades 9, 10, 11 and
12. An public school where 15 yrs old attend.
