Not So Beauty Queen; A Study of Modern Day Society and the Female Body Image.
Project objectives (eg, what is the question you want to answer? What do you want to learn how to do? What do you
want to find out?):
The main objective of my project is to develop a well-researched argument about why promoting the use
of makeup and wearing the latest trends in order to be classed as beautiful, is an issue especially when it
comes to some companies that promote makeup to children as young as 6 years old. I am hoping to first
find out what a variety of people think is their definition of beautiful when it comes to women and
compare their answers to big label companies that try to sell make up by presenting the use of make up
as a way of being beautiful. I then want to do further research into such companies, and then finally I
want to research into the effects the expectations have on women.

What resources will you need for your research, write up and presentation (eg, libraries, books, journals, equipment,
rehearsal space, technology and equipment, venue, physical resources, finance):
Most of my research will be done online, however I will also be asking people face to face for
their opinions on what makes a woman beautiful.
My research will cover areas such as personal opinions on what makes a woman beautiful, I will also be researching
make up companies and other companies that promote the wrong image of what makes a woman beautiful.
