The student has chosen physical therapy as the topic for their senior project. They have begun shadowing physical therapists at Big Stone Therapies in Watertown to learn about the career. The student hopes to see a variety of patients and injuries to understand how physical therapists help people recover. They have completed 8 hours so far and plan to have 20 hours completed by the end of October as part of exploring if physical therapy is the right career path.

Mr. Rudebusch 310 E. Harry St. Castlewood, SD 57223
Dear Mr. Rudebusch:
I am writing you regarding the senior project that I have eagerly begun. I have chosen physical therapy as my topic and have begun and plan to continue shadowing physical therapists at Big Stone Therapies in Watertown. I have chosen physical therapy as my topic because I have always seen myself with a career in the medical field and want to help people physically recover from injuries or other setbacks in their lives. I am excited to see all of the aspects of the job, not just the rehabilitation side. Through my shadowing, I hope to see a variety of patients, each with different injuries or physical challenges, so I can learn how physical therapists handle each of these circumstances. Even if I decide that physical therapy isn’t right for me, I appreciate the opportunity to explore it and make an informed decision. Thus far, I have completed 8 hours of shadowing and plan to have 20 hours completed by the end of October. Throughout this project, I hope to obtain a greater knowledge of the physical therapy career and decide if this path is right for me. I promise to do my absolute best to exceed any and all expectations you have for my project.
