FIRST ADVANCE FOR THE FINAL PROJECT

SEGUNDO’S INFORMATION

His full name is Segundo Rosales Cotrina. He is 40 years old, he is a farmer and

he lives in Cajamarca. Segundo was born on May 13th, 1978 in Celendin. His

family was very poor when he was born. He suffered a lot when was a baby, his

parents did not take care of him, he played alone. When Segundo was four years

old, his sister was born. After three months, his mother died in the hospital and

his father went to Huancayo. After that, he and his sister played together. He lived

at his grandfather’s house. His house was very small, there were 3 bedrooms.

The small bedroom was for him, so there was little space for his bed. In the living

room, there were 4 chairs and a small table in the center, there was no TV. There

was no dining room, his grandmother cooked in a "vichara" because there was

no stove and there weren’t any glasses. In 1983, he started studying at school.

He always missed lessons because his father did not want him to study. He lived

in front of the school and next to the market. Every day, at 1:00 pm, he went to

the river with his friends. They swam for one hour and returned to the school. He

worked all Saturdays and Sundays.
