We are excited to present Disney’s ALADDIN JR. April 14, 15 and 16!

The musical
features all of the Disney music and characters that we have come to love over the
years! To make this a rewarding experience for you and your student, we have
included a cast list, sample schedule, rehearsal expectations, as well as other
performance information. We want a great show so that your child can shine!
Sincerely,
Diane Maisel
Kristi Howze

CASTING
A student’s availability for rehearsals will play a significant role in casting. If
your child has more than one after-school conflict, it will be very difficult
committing to Aladdin.

REHEARSAL EXPECTATIONS
 Be on time - Rehearsals will begin on time and end on time. We are firm on
this requirement. It is important to respect rehearsal time as well as your
family’s after school schedules. Rehearsals will begin at 3:00 and end at 4:45.
 Rehearsal Attendance – It is difficult for a child to recover from missed
rehearsals. As a director, it is difficult to watch students struggle to catch-up.
So please take care to avoid missing rehearsals. However, children get sick,
so know that we will do everything in our power to help your child to
recover from an excused absence.
o Required rehearsal dates
o January 25, 26, 27, 28
o March 28, 29, 30, 31
o April 11, 12, 13,
o SHOW DATES April 14, 15 and 16
 Do your best because you will learn more, grow more and have a
performance that you will always remember and be proud of.
 Respect your efforts as well as the efforts of others.
 Respect the rehearsal space as well as costumes and props.
 Be in place during and after rehearsals.
 And above all, think safety is first! Chasing a friend in the dark backstage
area is not thinking “safety first.”
 Food – Healthy after-school snacks are encouraged, but students must eat
them in designated areas. Off stage and in the audience are not designated
areas. Water is welcome in the auditorium.
 Clothing – We recommend that students change into comfortable rehearsal
clothes before 3:00. We will begin at 3:00. If your child forgets his or her
rehearsal wear, a school uniform is fine. No pajamas please.
PERMISSION
My child and I have read the contract and rehearsal expectation, and we
agree to commit to the Middle School Drama Club’s presentation of
ALADDIN.
