On the 3rd meeting, they had their practical in flutter kick to those who haven’t done yet. And to
those who are the done was already asked to practice the Right, Left and Alternating Arm Pull. The
objective of Right Arm Pull is to isolate the proper mechanics of the freestyles, one arm at a time. This
is a key to drill in freestyle series. And the Left Arm Pull is to develop the coordinated two-arm
freestyles action with control of the timing, which is also the complete action in freestyle with the
absence of breathing.
I can see that majority of my classmates especially to those who knows how to swim can do the
activity easily while some can’t. But they’re still practicing it and eventually they can already do it. On
that meeting we’re the only section who occupied the pool that’s why they can easily adjust and can
swim freely to practice the activity. And almost of my classmate especially to those who don’t know
how to swim can already swim easily.
They had their practice for a while and after they had their practical but per group. They must swim
from one point to another using the Right, Left and Alternating Arm Pull. And after that they also
practice by group and individuals so that they can master the activity. They also practice the previous
activities starting from the 1st practical. And some of my classmates also join on that day that’s why
they also did the previous practicals. Together to those who already have the practicals they teach the
new ones about the previous activities. And to those who are done with the activity on that day was
asked to practice the Backstroke and Streamline Back Position with Kick for the activity next week.
Which is also a practical for all of the activities.

It was our last meeting in PE, and the last activity that they had were Backstroke and Streamline
Back Position with Kick. They are 2 Preparatory Position: First, Star Float is to give you a sense of how
the body floats naturally in back position wile the arms and legs are spread diagonally and completely
relaxed. Second, Push and Float and Back is to establish the preparatory position in backstroke. The two
of these were taught by our professor. And my classmates were able to do it.
In this activity they are 3 lessons. First, the Lay-out Floating Position with Sculling and Flutter
Kick is to keep you afloat in one place or move gently through the water in back position. Second,
Streamline Back Position with Kick, is to practice full-speed backstroke kick while maintaining the
correct body position. Last, Controlled Two-arm Backstroke is to develop the complete backstroke
action with control and coordination of both arms.
As usual every time before they swim they need to have stretching and when they enter the pool
they were asked to practice the different activities that had starting from the first practical because they
have another practical for all the activities. They gave more than 30 minutes to have their practice
especially for the Backstroke. The first who had their practicals were the ones who had no practicals yet
that just started to swim on that day. They had their practicals since the first activity and after that, they
had their practicals in alphabetical arrange. And some of them weren’t finish in the practical so they
decided to come back to continue their practical which is before the coming exams to complete their
grades same as to those who chose the documentation. I was amazed to those of my classmates who
said that they only learned how to swim because of our PE class and they were happy that because our
PE class they already know how to swim which is very important to know how able to swim for safety,
fitness and recreation purposes.
