♡ July 29, 2017 Saturday

On my first subject; TNCT, we learned about business concepts. On the second

subject; EAPP, my teacher discussed about the difference between summarizing and
paraphrasing, and on the last subject which is PHILPOLGOV, we learned about the
different sectors of the Judiciary and their different functions.

♡ July 31, 2017 Monday

I was late again for the first subject. We learned about descriptive essay and after the
discussion, we had an activity. During Research, my groupmates and I had a meeting
about our thesis. For the Filipino and CLPW subject, we had a short quiz.

♡ August 2, 2017 Wednesday

Today we had long tests on two subjects. One for Creative Non-Fiction, which I hoped
I did better in, and in CLPW where the questions were tricky, but all in all I feel like I did
well with the test since I enjoyed answering the questions. It was the same routine for
my Research subject, I met up with groupmates like always and lastly, we had a
discussion during Filipino.

♡ August 3, 2017 Thursday

Today on TNCT, my classmates presented their business proposals. On EAPP, my

teacher re-discussed the past topic which is about paraphrasing and summarizing. On
the last subject, we had a discussion about decentralization.

♡ August 5, 2017 Saturday

During TNCT, my classmates continued their presentations and afterwards my teacher

had a little lecture about the guidelines to follow in making a business proposal. We
didn’t do anything for EAPP so I just watched the videos I saved offline. On the last
subject, we continued the discussion about decentralization.
♡ August 14, 2017 Monday

We did an activity in the morning for our Creative Non-fiction subject. During research,
my teacher discussed about the format we have to follow for the third chapter of our
thesis. As usual, we had a discussion in Filipino.

♡ August 16, 2017 Wednesday

We had a short discussion followed by an activity in the morning. During Research, I

met up with my groupmates regarding our thesis. On the last subject, our teacher made
us watch a movie named “God’s not Dead”, it is an interesting movie that really made
me think about various things in life. It was a good movie.

♡ August 17, 2017 Thursday

I was late for the first subject so I didn’t know what they did during the time. During
EAPP, we answered the activities on our book. For the last subject, my classmates
presented their report about the government structure.

♡ August 18, 2017 Saturday

Saturday classes should be banned. During the first subject, my teacher discussed yet
again about businesses and he also shared his personal experiences to us regarding the
topic. We didn’t do anything during EAPP. On the last subject, my classmates continued
their report about the government.

Research passed as usual. During Filipino, my classmates presented their spoken poetry,
I have yet to perform mine.

♡ August 24, 2017 Thursday

passed our long ass assignment, which I passed even though I’m not done answering
yet. My EAPP teacher also gave back our bubble sheet, I did well on the exam. During
PHILPOLGOV, we had a seatwork regarding all the terms we discussed before, we were
asked to define them without the use of dictionary so it was hard.

weren’t done with their spoken poetry performed. For the last subject, my teacher came
in 20 minutes before the class ends so we didn’t do anything during the period.

to focus on the most significant thing that has happened to us yet. During Filipino, my
classmates presented their report. Same for the CLPW, my classmates also presented
their report regarding Japanese literature.

impossible to focus on watching because there’s too much light coming from the
windows, the movie wasn’t visible.

♡ September 9, 2017 Saturday

We discussed the difference between climate change and global warming. During
EAPP, we tried to watch “Hacksaw Ridge” again and this time it was really fun. The story
was really interesting and touching. Despite not using weapons, the protagonist used

Movie Review

Title: Castaway on the Moon

Characters & Characterization:

 Kim Seong-geun- is deep in debt and his life seems completely hopeless. He
jumps off a bridge into the Han River and washes up on the shore of Bamseom,
which lies directly below the bridge. He is a suicidal man who found new hope in
the island where he got stranded. Despite attempting to drown himself, at the
end he still wants to live and survive.
 Kim Jung-yeon- is an agoraphobe who spotted him while engaging in her nightly
habit of photographing the moon. Kim Jung-yeon has a type of anxiety disorder
in which you fear and avoid places or situations that might cause you to panic
and make you feel trapped, helpless or embarrassed. That being said, she spends
her life away inside her room, mostly in front of her computer. She only goes out
of her room when her parents are already gone for work, and she communicates
with them only through text messaging.

Setting

The story took place in Seoul, South Korea. The story of the man revolved in the
inhabited island near Han River where he got stranded. The scenes of the girl revolved
mostly in her room and sometimes in her neighborhood.

Music/Sound Effects

The music scoring was nice. It highlighted the scenes in the movie and made it more
exciting. A lot of popular Korean songs were played throughout the movie, so the songs
were familiar to me, which made it even better.
Cinematography

The cinematography is awesome. The aesthetics shown in the movie were really good.
I already had high expectations for this since Korean movies really serves well in terms
of cinematography. A lot of different angles were shown and the transition of events
happened smoothly. During the scenes for the female protagonist, a lot of computer
graphics were shown and all of them looked well-made and not tacky. The scenes
during nighttime is even more amazing. It was a treat to my eyes.

Reflection

I just happened to watch this movie because I was bored and I’m glad that I did watch
it. This movie is one of my favorites. The plot was really interesting and I’m glad that
they didn’t abuse the plot and maintained the same vibe instead of creating more
conflicts. There’s warmth and comfort in watching this. The connection between the two
protagonists is genuine and pure, the type of chemistry that just makes you smile. They
didn’t need kissing scenes nor love scenes (They haven’t really talked at all though) in
order for them to make a good chemistry. This movie gives hope and emits happiness.
Through the girl’s love and interest towards the male protagonist she overcame her
phobia, and through the girl’s support the man was able to find hope and
companionship when he was stuck in the island. Both of them gave each other a hope
for a new beginning. Both of them who are isolating themselves from reality made each
other want to live again, and that’s beautiful.

Letter

To Kim Heechul,

I’ve only been a fan of you for a month or so. Within that short time frame, I came to
like you a lot. I fell in love with your character on Knowing Brothers and now I’m hooked
to the show and to all of the casts. My free time that is usually boring is now fun, all
thanks to you. I know I don’t know you enough, but I want you to know that you’re a
nice person who deserves to be loved. You spit out crazy adlibs and sometimes I
wonder where you’re getting all that courage, continue to do you, Heechul. You’re 35
years old this year and you always whine about being single. Why is that? That’s
honestly not believable enough considering that you flirt with everyone 24/7. I hope you
find the one for you soon, even though it’s a universal fact that I’ll lowkey badmouth
everyone for at least two weeks the moment you announce your relationship lmao.
Despite my constant pettiness, I always hope for your happiness.

Suju is having a comeback soon and you find it hard, right? I feel sorry that you have to
go through this at such a young age. Your bones and muscles should start creaking at
40 but you’ve been going through this since your twenties. I hope you don’t feel too
burdened, I hope you don’t overwork yourself too much. Fans know that it’s hard for
you to give the same amount of intensity in your dance as much as the other members
& fans also know the pain you’re going through ♡ so take it easy on yourself. I also
hope you’re getting a lot of bank these days, considering the amount of your
permanent positions in variety shows. Empty their pockets, Heechul.

Suju is also doing SS7 soon so your leg probably hurts more these days. The fact that
there’s hope of seeing you in a concert makes me nervous. I like you and I want to see
you, but I really don’t? Ah, I can’t take seeing you up close and in flesh. You probably
have a ray of light flowing behind your back. Doesn’t your human waste excrete smell
like flowers too? ㅠㅠ This letter is tragic and probably really cringy, but I had to write it.
Good luck in everything you want to do, I hope you reach your goals and I hope that
your body would stop acting up and start being healthy.

With love,

Nicole
Song

In the tune of D(Half Moon) by DEAN

Love, love the stars I swipe through our pictures

Love, love the moon Then get reminded of your lies

Your eyes were half open When you said, I am your only one, yeah

Warm tears were falling

As you bid goodbye and leave me with no Tonight, yeah

chance
This will be the last night
I thought you won’t leave me
That I’d look back on our love
But you did it, without even looking back at
That I’ll think of what we had, yeah
me

And what we have, yeah

Tonight, yeah

I’ll miss you more than ever

Said I wouldn’t cry over you
And I’ll trace back all the times you said
No way, no way, no way
We’ll never fall apart
But the night is getting colder

And I keep missing you

Love, love the stars
No way, no way, yeah
Love, love the moon
TRAVELOGUE

I honestly haven’t gone through a lot of places. The last time I rode the MRT was
when I was 6 years old. I haven’t ridden a boat nor board the airplane. My family
members are a bunch of couch potatoes who are thrifty at the same time. The only
place I often go to that is worth writing about is my mother’s hometown; Montalban,
Rizal. It doesn’t really seem far enough to be called my province and it’s weird to call it
one since almost everyone needs to ride vehicles for long ass hours to get to their
province but I only need about 30 minutes to arrive into mine.

The road that you have to go through to get there is really pretty, except for the
Payatas area. There’s this road called “Zigzag Road” that is even prettier at night due to
the lights around the area. The moment you step out of the jeepney the view of the
highway awaits you. Even though it’s close to the city, it still gives off that “province”
vibe. If you walk more, you’ll be able to see the blue metal arcs over the bridge, which
looks pretty as well. Overlooking my grandparent’s house are mountains and trees. In
the morning, even your blanket will feel cold, so I often woke up due to muscle cramps
on my legs. About 9 AM, it starts to feel like you’re inside a rice cooker due to the heat.
The sun fully blooms with hotness around 2 pm. However, even though it’s deadly hot in
the afternoon, it’s the complete opposite at night.

When my grandfather was still alive he takes us in his tricycle and we go around the
area, visiting our relatives who live nearby. Night trips are the best because of the pretty
streetlights and nice vibe in the area. We also go to Wawa, but I don’t know how to
swim so the experience was just hot for me. Even though there are mountains in the
backdrop, malls like Robinsons and even SM is just one tricycle away from us. It’s a mix
of the old and modern times. There are a lot of resorts in the area too so you can blow
your money away in there while business owners capitalize the scorching heat.

More than anything, this place is special for me not because of its visuals but because of
the people residing the place. I have a lot of memories from my grandmother’s house,
most are memories I want to forget, some leaves me with regrets but over-all it’s always
a warm feeling to be with family.
