Clarke, C., & Courtney, W. (2018, Julio 11). Russia's Wars and Trump. Rand.
As we know, In internationational relations, the media are often confusing, because
you can often find multiple news with contradictory results posted on the very same
day.
In the news explains the two presidents will discuss bilateral issues and international
relations. they would discuss Syria, Ukraine, and "many other subjects."
The Putin's and Trumps meets are always very controversial because as we
rembermebr in 2016 election, some news said the Russian state interfered with the
US domestic politics.
But with Trump, every time is personal. That, we are coming to realize, is what
defines his foreign policy.
f you’ve listened to Trump talk about Putin over the last few years, you’ve seen this
again and again. He seldom speaks about relations with Russia in terms of
America’s strategic interests — whether they be military or economic or anything
else, let alone Russia’s actions. Instead, it’s almost always about whether the two
countries, and whether he and Putin particularly, will “get along.
After the bilateral meeting in Helinski, Trump said that both parties had "made some
mistakes", but refused to specifically mention elements such as Russian military
intervention in Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea, the attack with the chemical
agent Novichok in Salisbury, and the accusation against the Russians for allegedly
interfering in the 2016 US elections.
As we see the information is very partial, it depends on the communication medium
in which we focus.
I don’t think this cause a negative impact in the international relations in Mexico
because we are always impartial in wars themes.
