 Abstract:
“Internet Of Things (IoT) technology offers unprecedented opportunities to
interconnect human beings as well as (M2M) communication”. We identify the
definition, components of it and the importance of (IoT) .in the end, we will know
the advantage and disadvantage.[1]

1. introduction:
The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the use of intelligently connected devices and
systems to leverage data gathered by embedded sensors and actuators in machines
and other physical objects.

2. Literature review:
“The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects devices, vehicles,
buildings and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and
network connectivity that enables these objects to collect and exchange data”. [1]

3. Internet of Things (IoT):

3.1 component:
Include physical objects or devices. The IoT also includes connectivity, such as
electronic tickets, agendas, books, and wallets.IoT include people. IoT also
needs IoT Platforms used to connect the IoT components (objects, people, services,
etc.) to the IoT.

3.2 advantage:
It reduces the cost and complexity; control what data to be sent to internet and
provide security capability than things; convenient to link legacy equipment in the
IOT.
3.3 disadvantage:
Every new technology faces challenges. It adds complexity, Compatibility,
Privacy/Security and Safety issues.
3.4 applications:
can be found in every industry with many applications for smart homes, smart
buildings, travel and transportation, health and personal care etc.
4.Result conclusion:
The Internet of Things promises to deliver a step change in individuals’ quality of
life and enterprises’ productivity. In end after we know what the Internet of Things
is? we find that it has an advantage and disadvantage also.
