English:
Zimbabwe's opposition Movement Democratic Change (MDC) party said today only mediation could end a
stalemate in talks with President Robert Mugabe's Zanu-PF on forming a cabinet. Former South African
President Thabo Mbeki mediated a power-sharing treaty in Zimbabwe, but his position in the talks was
thrown into doubt after the ruling ANC forced him to resign. MDC spokesperson Nelson Chamisa said there
had been no contact with Zanu-PF since Mugabe and opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai failed to break
the impasse in direct talks on yesterday. A South African bureaucrat said today Mbeki had not yet agreed
to continue mediating. The talks between Zanu-PF and the MDC have reached an impasse over who will
control key ministries in the unity government to be established under the September 15 power-sharing
deal
What I have learned is that Setswana proverbs are rich in knowledge and they expose ways of life.
Therefore the structure of a proverb is consistent and cannot be changed because they have educational
value. It also has a distinctive structure and has critical idiomatic expression and consistent rhyme.
They are the core of Setswana culture because they contain traditional Setswana custom. They provide a
straight forward language. They extend our knowledge about our customs. They provide broad experience
and wisdom to solve difficulties of life
