The VGS PASSAT series takes your music to the next stage. The slim body design and handy dimensions are
not only perfect for the touring musician, but will help to prevent feedbacks when plugged in. All models are
equipped with a cutaway and Fishman electronics with onboard tuner. The variety of colours let‘s you choose
the perfect style for stepping into the limelight.
The VGS BAYOU series is characterized by the well-established combination of solid spruce tops on back
and sides made from mahogany. Centrepiece of the different body shapes is the asymmetric „Sound Control
Bridge“ that allows for a harmonized mass and frequency distribution. Exciting details and unique decorations
make sure that great sound comes along with an outstanding feel.
The VGS GRAND BAYOU series let‘s you feel and hear the beauty of wood and nature in all its splendour.
The open-pored finish as well as the parabolic, braceless back provide a basis for the clear vibration charac-
teristics of these guitars. All this is completed by the asymmetric „Sound Control Bridge“ with its harmonized
mass and frequency distribution. This series is completely made in Europe - including the state-of-the-art
acoustic
machine heads from Schaller, Germany.
The VGS ROSE series features the classic combination of spruce and rosewood available in some of the
most popular body shapes throughout the history of guitar making. The graceful acoustic sound of the solid
top is even enhanced by the „Katayama Acoustic Chamber“. This non-electronic component inside the guitar
produces a natural surround sound and a balanced frequency distribution. All this is completed by the asym-
metric „Sound Control Bridge“ and the love for cosmetic details typical for these guitars.
The VGS BELLE ROSE series grants you maximum sound and feel under all conditions. If it is the parapolic,
braceless back, the sound-enhancing „Katayama Acoustic Chamber“ or the asymmetric „Sound Control
Bridge“ - all these unique details contribute to a balanced sound projection and a harmonious overall perfor-

mance. The solid European spruce top, paired with back and sides from Indian rosewood, sets the basis for
this exceptional acoustic guitar experience 100% made in Europe. German made Schaller machine heads
ensure reliable tuning stability and the B-Band electronics with jack- and XLR-outputs are the power source
for on-stage sessions with the electro-acoustic models.
VGS-ROOT-SERIES MADE IN EUROPE
The guitar has its origin in the Middle East and was known in Ancient Greece as the kithara. It then continued
its way over to Spain, Italy, France and to Central Europe where it was re-developed constantly. Finally in the
18th century it was equipped with 6 strings looking very similar to the guitar as we know it today. But this
wasn’t the final development stage. No, not by a long chalk … More about that later.
In the last 2 to 3 decades most of the production of guitars out of various reasons went to the Far East which
sadly forced many traditional local instrument makers large and small to close down. We however, against all
odds, kept our local european workshops alive. Now, with all the changes in Asia the time has come empha-
size even more on European Instruments. With the rising awareness of society for various social and envi-
ronmental aspects, musicians perceptions are changing. Instead of just choosing budget instruments made
by factories out of control, users are increasingly demanding locally manufactured products where cares for
the environment, ecology and quality are paramount. These concerns combined with shorter freight distances
and contact to the craftsmen with the same mindset have now become very much the deciding factor. This
suits us quite well, as this very much matches our own philosophy.
As mentioned before the development of the guitar is far from finished. At the moment the main focus is on
refining a more gentle process of the drying of the wood which comes close to the natural drying process.
We optimized the bracing, shaping and positioning and by using CNC milling technology we ensure a con-
stant quality and shape instrument by instrument.
We want our guitars to be mainly made of domestic timber. Luckily we do not lack those kinds of wood.

The VGS SELECT Series embodies affordable pro-quality. Selected wood, EMG HZ pickups or especially
developed VGS pickups as well as professional hardware are being processed. On top, models of the VGS
Select Series are also available with the cutting-edge Evertune bridge system - absolutely unique in this price
range! All this combined with a sense of playing usually connected with instruments that are considerably
more expensive - welcome to the professional middle class!
The VGS PRO Series reflects manufacturing at the highest level. The hardware comes from well-known sup-
pliers like Schaller and Wilkinson. In addition, some models are also available with the cutting-edge Evertune
bridge or innovative True-Temperament-Fretting system. Legendary pickups of EMG and Seymour Duncan or
models of the custom manufacturer Bare Knuckle are put to work. And we made no cutbacks with the choice
of wood. All in all, these are high-class instruments made for the professional use in studio and on stage.
The VGS CLASSIX series offers classic guitar designs at a very fair price-performance-ratio. Notwithstanding
the appealing price, important features like Korean-made high-quality pickups, selected hardware and high
electric
playing comfort are not forgone.

Changing strings
• guide the strings from behind through the designated holes
• turn the machine head until you reach the sweet-spot, do the set-up of the guitar
• turn the machine head until the bend-stop (proceed as described below)
Back-stop
• The single saddles are in the far stop position, the system is out of action and works like any other bridge.
evertune
Sweet-spot
• By turning the machine head the saddles are put into a floating position (distance from the farthest stop ca. 2mm),
the system is activated, even bendings are adjusted by the system, there will be no changes in sound while bending
the strings. The set-up of the guitar is done in the sweet-spot. By using the provided hex-wrench it is possible to
adjust string-action, intonation and tuning of the instrument.
Bend-stop
• The machine heads of the single strings are turned until the tuning of the single strings switches to the next
higher note; now turn back a quarter and you are in the bend-stop mode, the system is still active and you can

play various bendings as usual.
True Temperament - frets of the future!
There’s really nothing like the True Temperament Fretting System in the world of
guitars. This heavenly gift to all guitarists struggling to get a perfect intonated
guitar is just unbelievable.
For instance: all minor and major chords in the lower position sound amazing, and
what’s even more amazing - the same open chords played an octave up also ring out
perfectly in tune.
So what’s wrong with straight frets? Standard equal tempered fret spacing is cal-
culated from one single piece of information about the instrument - the scale length.
However the frequency of a vibrating string is determined by three factors: the speak-
ing length, its mass, and the tension applied. All three of these factors are affected
to varying degrees when a string is pressed down on a fret.
The only way to fully compensate for these parameters is to adjust each and every
string-to-fret contact point on the fingerboard separately, until each and every
fretting system
note plays the target frequency exactly. This - which is impossible on a guitar with
traditional, one-piece, straight frets - is exactly what True Temperament does, with
Dynamic Intonation-, and Curved Frets.
The Swedish inventor Anders Thidell spent over 15 years developing Curved Frets
and Dynamic Intonation. It all started years ago when Anders had his own trio
Electric Church and couldn’t get the sound he heard inside his head, no matter what
guitar he tried. Anders then realised that the fretboard had to be modified with 31
curved frets to get the exact intonated positions.
