    THE SEATTLE SPARTANS ANNOUNCE THEIR TEAM ROSTER

    On September 16, 2018, Benjamin Meyer released the names of the players who will play for
    the NHL’s newest franchise, the Seattle Spartans. The players were recently chosen in a supplemental
    draft in Toronto set up by the league offices to fill the expansion team’s roster.

    Key players selected were winger Zach Parise, defender Brent Burns, goaltender Marc Andre-
    Fleury, and center Evgeni Malkin.

    The team will begin playing this season at Cotopaxi Stadium in Seattle, WA. The Spartans and
    their new players will take on the Las Vegas Golden Knights on October 6, at 8:00 PM, to begin their
    inaugural season.
