CAHA 533: Lesson Assessment
College Application Workshop

Formal Assessment: Prior to beginning the workshop, I will provide the participants with a pre-

assessment questionnaire (Appendix 1) that seeks to assess their knowledge of the information

that I will be presenting. After I finish presenting the information about the process of applying

for college, I will ask the participants to take a post-assessment questionnaire (Appendix 2) to

evaluate if my goals and objectives were achieved. I will conclude the workshop by assessing the

number of college applications that are completed by the end of the session. The students will be

asked to submit the application completion conformation sheet that will be emailed to each

student once they submit their application.

Informational Assessment: As I begin my presentation, I will ask the participants to stop me at

any point if they would like further clarification of the terms that I am using. Throughout the

presentation, I will be sure to ask the participants if they have any questions and take the time to

answer any questions or concerns that may arise. I will make sure that I look for verbal and

physical (head nodding/raising of hands) confirmation that the participants are understanding the

information being presented. I will ask the participants to demonstrate their comprehension of

the information presented as they complete their applications at the end of the session. I will also

walk around and observe how each participant navigates filling out the application(s) prior to

submitting the application(s) and assist them with answering any questions or concerns that they

may have.

FAFSA Application Workshop

them once they submit their application.
