A Guideline for Tier4 Visa Interview

Video conferencing or interview via Skype/Communicator is being taken by Home office staff
at UK Visa Application centre after the Tier4 student visa application submission followed by
the completion of biometric data submission at UK visa application center.

The purpose of the interview is to check your credibility as a genuine student and the focus of
this interview will be your reasons for choosing the UK, the University and your programme of
study as well as questions on the content of your course.

Important Note

 This is one 2 one interview sessions in an access controlled and sound proof room.
 Interview is conducted in English only for Tier 4 students.
 Applicants are not allowed to use any cell phone, recording device, note book, pen,
files etc to take any help at the time of interview.
 Your answers will be recorded and send a summary to the Entry Clearance Officer who
will decide if a second more detailed interview at the Embassy is needed.
 If there is any issue with hearing them clearly eg via the video link, you should ensure
that you raise this then and then so that they are aware that it is a technical issue not one
of comprehension.
 The Entry Clearance Officer must be satisfied that you are a genuine student and that
your English language ability is at the correct level, otherwise you might be called for a
further interview and/or your entry clearance application may be refused.
