From
the
'Service'
list
on
the
left,
check
the
‘File
Sharing'
checkbox.
Note:
If
you’re
not
able
to
connect
your
Mac,
please
restart
the
file
sharing
service.
Simply
uncheck
the
‘File
Sharing’
checkbox
and
check
it
again
to
restart
the
file
sharing
service
Share a folder
1.
Under
the
'Shared
Folders'
lists,
click
+

Choose
a
folder
to
share
and
click
'Add'

By
default
all
users
('Everyone')
get
read-‐only
access
to
the
share.
To
give
your
user
the
ability
to
change
files,
click
+
under
the
'Users'
list
and
choose
your
account.
Then
change
'Read
Only'
to
'Read
&
Write'.

the
"Options"
button,
then
select
“Share
files
and
folders
using
SMB”
and
select
the
user
account
to
authorize
access.

Computer
Name
and
IP

The
first
red
mark
is
the
computer
name
plus
domain
name.
For
example:
MyMacBookPro.local

name.
This
will
be
the
text
to
enter
in
the
Remote
File
Manager’s
"Computer
Name/IP"
field
“local”
is
your
domain
name.
It’s
the
value
in
the
Remote
File
Manager’s
"DNS
Domain
Suffix"
field.

Alternatively,
you
could
input
the
computer
IP
address
in
the
“Computer
Name/IP”
field,
then
you
don’t
need
input
“DNS
Domain
Suffix”
field
anymore.
Configure
firewall
on
Mac
You
should
now
be
able
to
connect
Remote
File
Manager
to
your
Mac.
If
you
can't,
the
firewall
of
Mac
OSX
might
be
blocking
the
network.
Please
follow
steps
to
configure
the
firewall.
1.
Open
System
Preferences
and
click
"Security".
2.
Click
"Firewall".
3.
Click
the
lock
to
make
changes.
4.
Click
"Advanced..."
5.
Ensure
that
"Block
all
incoming
connections"
is
unchecked.

connect

Remote

Manager.

whether
you
set

WINS
settings.

There
are
two
things
you
can
have
a
try.
1.
Use
the
Computer
IP
address
to
connect,
instead
of
Computer
Name.
2.
Restart
the
file
sharing
service
on
your
Mac.
Uncheck
the
‘File
Sharing’
checkbox
and
check
it
again
to
restart
the
file
sharing
service.
