Lyrical Analysis Project- Silent the Forests

Mrs. Dickerson/Choir- Chanson and Coro DUE 2/9/18

Camerata DUE 2/12/18

Silent the forests, the streams,

Waveless sheeted the sea,
Wind in their caves unblustering
At peace,
At peace.
Somber the night and white the moon
Of deepest quiet.
Let us then be like secrets,
Locked in love,
Locked in love and its sweetness.
Love hath no breath, no voice,
No breath,
No voice,
No sound a kiss,
No voice or sound
My sighs.

-Torquato Tasso
