The Department of Gastroenterology and Clinical Nutrition at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne is seeking a full time Clinical Fellow commencing in mid- 2018. The position is for 12-24 months and is available ONLY to non-Australian trained doctors in countries of need and is designed for trainees who have successfully completed general paediatric training to a suitable level. The successful candidate will be from an Asia, Africa, Pacific island or South America. This position will be appropriate for trainees wishing to pursue a clinical practice in paediatric gastroenterology. A score of 7 must be achieved in all parts of the International English Language Test [ESSENTIAL] before application. A copy of University transcripts, a curriculum vitae and two professional referee reports are imperative as well. The Department provides a state and national service for children with a wide range of gastroenterological conditions, transplantation and clinical nutrition. There is an active clinical research program. The successful applicant will join a medical team including 8 gastroenterologists and will undergo formal training in all of the clinical skills offered by the department. Individual and collaborative research projects are encouraged.
