Nabi Yaqub as

The Prophet Yaqub, or Jacob, was a religious man.


He lived in Canaan. He and his family lived in tents. He
had twelve sons. Yusuf was the second youngest of
them. Yaqub's children could see that Yusuf was
their father's favourite. This made them very jealous.
They became so jealous and want to kill him. The
jealous brothers finally decided to throw Yusuf into a
deep well.
They went to Yaqub, their father, to ask if they
could take Yusuf out with them. At last Yaqub
agreed, but he made them promise to look after him.
they break their promise. At the end of the day they
asked Yusuf to take off his shirt. They killed a sheep
and put blood all over Yusuf's shirt; then they threw
Yusuf into a well. They went home and showed the
shirt to Yaqub. Pretending to be very upset; they told
their father that Yusuf had got left behind and a wolf
had eaten him!
Losing Yusuf make Yaqub very sad. He shed tears
for months. In the end, his eyes became white; then, he
became blind. Yaqub could feel that Yusuf was alive.
He felt that it was time he did something to find Yusuf.
He telling his sons not to lose hope about Yusuf. Yaqub
sending them to Egypt to look for Yusuf. Finally they
have found Yusuf in Egypt. They feel sorry to Yusuf
and told the condition of Yaqub.
Yusuf took off his shirt and say “"Go with this my
shirt, and cast it over the face of my father: he will
come to see clearly”. Then they back to home.
At home they gave the shirt to his father. Hz. Yaqub
took the shirt, smelled it and wiped it over his face. With
the permission of Allah, his eyes started to see
immediately. His world became enlightened along with
his eyes. He thanked and praised Allah for this grace.
