R E P O R T O N P R E V I O U S M E E T I N G

During the second week meeting, we have decided that we will be using Ifrane and
BenGuerir, Morocco geographic location and gathered the annual climate information
and energy requirement for a typical house so that I can simulate the energy
performance of the reference model in order to find out the heating and cooling energy
requirement. Based on the energy consumption, we will develop the thermal comfort
simulation for the house.

W O R K D O N E T H I S W E E K

This week I have started working on TRNSYS. First, I had to provide input regarding
different zone of the house with respect to the energy requirement and thermal comfort
needed. After that I have integrated the weather condition which will be needed for
simulation.

M A T T E R S T O D I S C U S S

I have found that the transmission heat losses are relatively large. This is due to the
low-grade insulation of the house. Ventilation heat losses also take a considerable
share of the energy balance. On the heat gain side, the internal and solar heat gains
are not big at all. I would like to discuss these issues in next meeting.
