DAN BROWN

He is an American techno-thriller writer, he was born on June 22, 1964, in the town of Exeter,
New Hampshire, United States. He is the son of a mathematician and a composer of sacred
music.

He studied literature at the University of Amherst and the Phillips Academy of Exeter, in the
year 1980 he moved to Spain to study art history. Graduated from Amherst College, he
devoted himself to music, where he produced a recording with children's songs and founded
the company Dalliance, with which he recorded Perspective. In 1991 he moved to Hollywood,
California, to continue his career as a pianist and singer-songwriter.

At the National Academy of Composers he met Blythe Newlon, a fifteen-year-old woman, with
whom he married in 1997. In 1998 he published his first novel "The Digital Fortress", which
was widely promoted by his wife and severely criticized by the public . In 2000 he published
"Angels and Demons", where the character Robert Langdon appears for the first time. Then he
publishes "La Conspiración" in 2001.

Its greatest success was published in 2003, the novel "Codigo Da Vinci", of which
approximately 80 million copies have been sold until today. In 2004 he was awarded with the
Book Sense Book of the Year category for his book "Codigo Da vinci". He was named in 2005
one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine. Later he published "The
lost symbol" in 2009 and "Inferno" in 2013. In 2013 for his great novel "Inferno" won the
Goodreads Choice Award in the category of mystery and suspense. His last great success is "El
Origen" published in 2017.

El es un escritor estadounidense de techno-thriller, él nació el 22 de junio del año 1964,en el

pueblo de Exeter, Nuevo Hampshire, Estados Unidos, Es hijo de un matemático y una
compositora de música sacra.

Estudio literatura en la Universidad de Amherst y en la Academia Phillips de Exeter, en el año

de 1980 se trasladó a España para estudiar historia del arte. Diplomado por el Amherst
College, se dedicó a la música donde produjo una grabación con canciones infantiles y fundó la

En la Academia Nacional de Compositores conoció a Blythe Newlon, una mujer quince años
mayor, con quien contrajo matrimonio en 1997. En 1998 publica su primera novela "La
Fortaleza Digital", la cual fue ampliamente promocionada por su esposa y duramente criticada
por el público. En el año 2000 publica "Ángeles y Demonios", donde aparece por primera vez el
personaje Robert Langdon. Luego publica "La Conspiración" en el 2001.

Su mayor éxito fue publicado en el 2003, la novela "Codigo Da Vinci", de la cual se han vendido
aproximadamente 80 millones de ejemplares hasta hoy. En el 2004 fue premiado con la
categoría Book sense book of the year por su libro "Codigo Da vinci". Fue nombrado en 2005
una de las 100 personas más influyentes en el mundo por la revista TIME. Posteriormente
publicaría "El símbolo perdido" en el 2009 y "Inferno" en el 2013 .En el 2013 por su grandiosa
novela "Inferno" gano el premio Goodreads Choice Award en la categoría de misterio y
suspenso. Su último gran éxito es "El Origen" publicado en el 2017
