2. A 400-ft sag vertical curve has its VPC at station 100+00 and elevation 500 ft. The initial grade is -4.0% and the
final grade is +2.5%. Determine the stationing and elevation of the VPT, the VPI, and the lowest point on the
curve.

1. An existing equal-tangent crest curve has a length of 672 ft. The station of PVI is 256 +00 and its elevation is 720
ft. The initial grade is +3% and the final grade is -5%. Determine:
a) The station and elevation of PVC and PVT
b) The station and elevation of the high point.
