Q: When is the duration of application submission for APACT Youth Camp?

A: Candidate may submit application starting on April 20, 2018 until May 4, 2018 at 23.59
Jakarta time.

Q: Who can participate the APACT Youth Camp?

A: Young people aged 18 to 30 years old at the time of the Youth Camp and citizens of Asia
Pacific countries.

Q: How can we submit application?

A: Candidate must submit application through our online form which can be accessed on
http://apact12th.org/youth

Q: What are covered by the APACT Youth Camp scholarship?

A: The APACT Youth Camp offers full scholarship for the selected 50 young people from
Asia Pacific countries. The scholarship covers:
- Flight from your country’s main airport
- Transport from Bali’s airport to the summit
- Visas to enter Indonesia (for those who required one)
- Accommodation
- Meal
- Daily living costs for the duration of the youth camp to main conference

Q: Is there a specific template for recommendation letter from advisor and peers?
A: There is no specific template for recommendation letter from advisor and peers. However,
the limit of the recommendation letter is 600 words and must be written in English.

Q: Who are eligible to provide recommendation letters from advisor?

A: This recommendation letters are expected to be provided by participants’ professor,
director (if you apply on behalf of an organization), mentor (if you apply on behalf of a
movement or a campaign), government officials, or somebody who supervises your
performance and commitment in the projects related to Tobacco Control.

Q: Who are eligible to provide recommendation letters from peers?

A: This recommendation letters are expected to be provided by participants’ peers or team
members who have worked with you in the projects related to Tobacco Control.

Q: Should applicants of the APACT Youth Camp also submit abstract paper to the
committee of the 12th APACT?
A: Applicants are not obliged to submit abstract paper to the committee of the 12th APACT.

Q: What kind of transportation does the scholarship cover?

A: The scholarship covers transportation from the main airport in participants’ residential
countries to Bali and local transportation in Bali throughout the conference.

Q: When is the notification of the APACT Youth Camp result?

A: Notifications will be circulated to successful applicants by 21 May 2018.
