BPI Remittance System or FIRS is a web-based application that handles remittance
operation on foreign offices. It provides facilities for use by the bank-owned
foreign offices, business tie-ups, and agents (foreign offices are also agent hosts responsible for authorizing agent transactions). The system accommodates transactions in the form of self-allotee cash remittance, direct payments to institutions, credit to a beneficiary account, door to door delivery and remittances to beneficiaries in the form of cash, gifts, and appliances. Remitter's payment can be cash or check. With the need to monitor cash flow within the Foreign Offices, the system provides the Cashiering Module (e.g. vault, cashier, teller, and journal).
