In ‘Swallow your Fear” Jessica Dulong shows us a story of how risk taking can help

solve problems. Annette Van Horn had so many problems in her marriage, but she didn’t know

how to solve them till she learned how to drive a plane. This risk taking moment made her take

control of the plane and her marriage. Doctors say risks makes you manage your emotions better,

have more self determination, and leads to success. After Horn took control she divorced her

husband and finally got to hear what he had to say without her over talking him. After a break

and talking they remarried and had a stronger bond. Shows that the risk she took helped her with

her daily life.

I can relate to this article more than other maybe because I also believe in this concept.

That taking a risk can help you improve and make you feel better in life. When I do something

risky it makes me feel more confident. It makes me feel like I know my limits. I also once have

taken a break from a relationship just to come back with a stronger bond. I come out with a better

feeling after I think everything through. When I have a crisis I usually do something risky and

may regret. Over all I agree with all these ways of dealing with life problems because this is how

I usually deal with mine. Work Cited
