Reflection 1:

In the first week, In the Ashbilia Primary School, I selected one grade to teach math, I like

them very much. The MST uses the database to explain and solve the problems.

I observed the mathematics grade 1-class boy and girl’s learners. First, she taught them to

count between two numbers by putting the red and yellow circle into each square sheet by

the group, which was like a competition between them to see which group finishes early.

The MST she explains the lesson by manipulative such as doing tens in hands, adding two

numbers using manipulates. The same subtraction steps of manipulates. But the idea that

attracts me is the Reinforcement plate for each group, which she did print an image cage

for birds by illuminated, with illuminated small birds, during the week she sees which

group has more birds, after that she reward them. It was an excellent idea.

On Wednesday, She began to teach the addition by telling them s mini story. There was a

bird with sounds and hand movements with the whole class; the bird put the one, 2, three

eggs, then she flies and making sounds to put the other 1, 2, three eggs. The total of the eggs

is seven (to test the learners if they know or not). Then she asked them if they said correct

come to the right side and who said it is wrong to go to the left side. They seem to

comprehend well by this story.
