Analyze how these events contributed to the treatment of women and African Americans in
American society prior to WWII.

(5 - 10 min.) - Brief overview of exit ticket responses in relation to previous learning
Review Exit Ticket objective and the assignment’s requirements

(20 min.) - Group work period: Students in their groups will create a poster of a
Timeline Activity timeline regarding events/practices of societal treatment of their focus
group and era.
- Mistakes made on exit ticket (and research segment) to be corrected prior
to adding onto final product
(30 – 40 min.) - Each group will present their posters to the class in chronological order
Timeline Activity - Class will place their posters in the correct timeline and occurrence in
Presentation history to create two separate whole timelines on African Americans and
women
