1. Barbara Ehrenreich conducted research on the mid and high level workers.

She decided to

conduct her research by entering the foreign world as an undercover reporter. Her plan was to get

a “white-collar” job. She came up with questions she wanted to eventually get answers for by the

end of her research. Before conducting her research she had judgement on her topic of

investigation. She had to set aside this judgment and views for the purpose of the investigation.

She did not want to be recognized so she changed her name and also made a new resume for her

white collar job application. The structure of the research project included her setting three rules.

One of these rules was flexibility and willingness to travel anywhere in the united states to get a

white collar job. She also set a time limit and budget for the project. She also created a timeline of

how long she would spend

2. For my research I plan to attend two saturday services at my friends seventh day adventist

church. I have heard some things about this religion like, they dont eat pork and that the woman

have to wear long skirts. I will set aside any prior judgment and enter the church with an open

mind. Before attending the first service I will read over the observation questions. After the

service I will answer the questions as soon as I get home so I can answer the questions with more

detail. I will interview my friend after attending each church service and analyze the acquired

information.
