0 PROCEDURE

1. The green sand was scaled between 145g-175g used digital weighing device.
2. Next, the sand was put into the steel tube through a funnel tube together with the stopper.

3. Under the sand rammer the cylindrical steel tube was located to compress the sand for 3
times before test for permeability.
4. Next, on the top of permeability machine the specimen steel was put.
5. The machine on, so the scales were adjust to 0 scale.
6. The data was collected with 60s time was taken.

7. By using the specimen tube, the compressed sand was removed. The sand height are
observed by using callipers.

8. Ram sand must has 50.8mm±0.125mm height. Then place the specimen in a sand strength
testing machine.
9. The machine compress the specimen and wait until it not success to support the load.
10. The results are recorded for data analysis.
