The Journal of Child Language is one of the journals in the field of Linguistics. As
understanding child language is related to the field of linguistics as well as the field of
psychology, studies that mentally, linguistically and intellectually investigate children’s acts in
language can be found in the articles of this journal ( Cambridge Core, 2018).
The apparent vision of this journal is to inform the interested readers about latest studies
of child’s behavior towards language, the fundamentals cause that behavior, and theories stating
what is found in data. During decades of publishing, the Journal of Child Language has provided
a great number of articles for early childhood educators, linguists, psychologists. These articles
include long experimental studies and short research reports. The authors who publish and edit
articles in this journal are researchers from universities all over the world as well as book authors
Publishing in Journals in the field of Linguistics requires very high level of academic
writing. This journal is willing to publish studies based on new databases or using innovative
tools. In order to publish in this journal, many requirements need to be considered. There is a set
limit of words not to exceed 10000 for general articles and 4000 words for shorter research
reports. All articles should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological
Association (6th Edition 2010). For phonetic transcription, symbols and conventions of the IPA
are preferred. The submitted article are reviewed through several stages before publication. The
journal occasionally publishes special issues with topics and formats determined by the editorial
