Discussion: Your place in the economy

 Which sector do you intend to work in or do you already work in? How
do you „fit in the total picture”?
Nowadays, IT companies are multiplying like mushrooms after rain, and
they offer young leavers opportunities to work even without experience.
The main problem in becoming a corporate at 20years is that they can get
sick very quickly. The 21st century illnes is caused by the desire to evolve
in the work place. The job involves more tasks than you were told about
during the employment interview, it is a continous chase after something
you will get very hard.
I work at a bank, is a very stressful job. I work with the most delicate
thing of the people: their money. The people I come into contact with are
always nervous, they always have trouble and they charge me with
negative energy. I think you have to be a strong person for this job, and I
am a strong person, but I intend to remain in the company just to migrate
to another department.

 How many people in the tertiary sector have you already spoken to today
(travelling to college or work, shopping, eating, and so on)? What about
people in the other sectors? When did you last talk to someone who grew
or produced food, for example?
I have a collegue who works in a restaurant and I always talk with her
when we go to college. It is very interesting to talk with her because she
always tells me about human behaviour. She believes that already intuites
customers wishes, and I am passionate about this subject. I think that we
have a lot to learn from these people.

 What are the (approximate) proportions of the different sectors in your

country? How do you expect these proportions to evolve in the future?
In my opinion, the agriculture will be declining, given the expected
drought and it will occupy 20% of the country’s economy.
Concerning the secondary sector, I consider that the manufacturing
industry is encouraged by people and this sector it will occupy 30% of the
country’s economy.
Regarding the tertiary or service sector, I believe that manufactury
industry will be replaced by services, because labour costs are to high. I
think that this sector it will occupy 50% of the country’s economy.
