Bibliography

Topic: Ethics in Computer Information Systems might not be well recognized, but it is a large

field of study. Examples being cyber security and AI. My field of study is Computer Information

Systems.

This article mentions a brief history of information systems then goes to explain in detail

about linking markets, the management of information and the far-reaching change in

institutional arrangements. I can use this to look at ethical arrangements in business between

countries and how different people from ethical backgrounds come to a compromise. The 15

authors all have extensive research and masters to PHD’s in topics that relate to this research.

The main author holds a doctorate in science in engineering management and currently an

assistant professor of operations management in the school of business at university of

Redlands USA.

This article covers issues affecting ethical issues in privacy, security, and in the information

related professions. I can use this to write the bulk of my paper discussing the general ethics

in information systems. The authors have PhD’s and the main author is an associate professor

at Seattle pacific university.

This article talks about the laws and government rules put in place so that organizations can be in

compliance or laws put in place to protect ethical behavior in business. I can use this as reference

to what has been done to protect ethical behavior in business operations. Weiss has a MBA in

business and a bs in computer studies. He is currently employed with east lead cloud security.

This article talks specifically about the cybersecurity and security engineering aspect of

ethics. Talking about ethics in security is one of the main topics in information systems and

this book will help give specific information on the topic. Mehan is currently a professor at

university of Maryland and has a PhD in organization and management.

about the philosophy and ethics of technology which is what I would use. There are also

specific chapters on technology in different countries. This would help finding specific

information on multicultural topics I might be interested in writing on. One of the main
authors Friss J as well as being a Dr. is an associate professor of philosophy at department of

public health.

This article explains moral leadership in organizations and business ethics. It goes to also

mention the community impact a business has now that we are all so interconnected. This article

is great in describing how a business should run with retrospect to the community and I would

use this in majority of my paper. The main author Alistar V. is vice president at SP Plus and a

Master of Business Administration.

This article talks about the laws for intellectual freedom. This will be a good reference for

what is able to be said and laws. The main author is a library professor and reference and

instruction at the university of Vermont. She also served on the ALA intellectual freedom

committee.

This article talks about the ethical decisions a management team should make. Specifically,

with journal entries including incentives, and compensation agreements. This can help me

find how a business runs its ethical agreements within the company. The author Ogunyemi K

has written many research items and is the director of the Christopher Kolade Centre for

research in leadership and ethics.

This article talks about the professionalism in business and how vital it is in the workplace. It

specifically talks about the information and communication technology professionalism. This

will give me a better idea of the expectations a business requires and how ethical behaviors

fit in. The main author has a BA in computer science and is a philosophers and substantial

contributor to the field of information and computer ethics.

This article talks about the ethical behavior of tourism and responsibility in tourism. While

this does not talk about my topic it does mention how people respond to ethically outside

their own country. Business has a lot to do with traveling and this can help provide

information on how people react individually to thing they are not used to. The author is a

principal lecturer of tourism at the university of Brighton and has written many articles on

the topic of tourism.

This glossary has definitions for anything to do with computing. This could be a useful

reference when looking for computing terms and their correct definitions along with how

they connect. This reference also contains acronyms and abbreviations which could be useful

in deciphering from other articles. The main author is an education consultant for 25 years

and has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.

This book talks about ethics in computing in the medical field. It also goes to say that it

reflects on the technological constraints and the complex nature of human reality in

medicine. This does not talk about business, but it does mention ethical decisions in

technology. It may also provide useful in examining another field of research ethics is

heavily involved in. The author is the co founder and chief strategy officer of ADEL as well

as having a master’s in economics.

This article talks about the labor standards and working conditions in global apparel supply

chains. It is useful when talking about what is in place to protect people. This topic can be

compared to other countries where there are not such strict labor laws and where business

tend to place factories because it is cheaper. With this I can discuss the ethical behavior

business have to choose when upholding labor laws. The author is the associate professor of

sociology with a BA in international studies and PhD in sociology.

The article talks about the international standard of cybersecurity. With cybersecurity comes

the topic of ethics and being able to see how through many countries there a common

international standard is, I think would be worth looking at. The author is the founder and

president of JEMStone Strategies and has a PhD in organizations and a Master of Arts

International relations.

to information system standards. This would be a good recourse to have in case I need to look up

more about the degree. Something I may not know. The author is the president of security evolutions

Inc. as well as having 30+ years of technical engineering.
