Countable & uncountable nouns

Countable nouns: nouns that we can count. They have a singular and a plural form.
Eg. One cat, two cats One fish, two fishes
A person, five people A mouse, three mice
One leaf, two leaves One cactus, two cacti

Uncountable nouns: nouns we cannot count. They only have one form.
Eg. Some music Some rice
A lot of information A lot of money
a piece of luggage A piece of furniture

There are also some words that, depending on the context, can be countable and
uncountable:
Eg. The chickens are eating OR The chicken we ate was delicious
My mom bakes cakes OR Can I have a piece of cake?
I’ve been there 3 times OR I don’t have time to go to the cinema
