ACI offers four types of solid pvc sheet: See-thrus and three mechanical grades:

Type I, Type II and CPVC. The see-thrus include clear, transparent and
translucent colors. The see-thrus are intended for chemical resistant glazing
and displays that require a durable material.

Types I, II and CPVC are opaque and are intended for tough industrial
applications.

All of these materials offer good chemical resistance and fire ratings (UL-94V-0)
considered self-extinguishing. Type I typically offers the highest chemical
resistance. Type II relaxes chemical resistance in return for greater impact
resistance. Type II is suited for applications that require thermoforming or where
the finished product is subject to shock or physical abuse. The sustained
operating temperature for I and II is 140° F and CPVC is 180° F.

All of these products offer excellent chemical resistance and fire rating. Some
notable differences between the products follow:

Clear PVC                          Type II                           CPVC
Light Transmission             Thermoformable            Higher Heat Stability
Thermoformable                 Can be Cold Rolled
High Impact
